Haha true. I think Kobe wants Lebron to stay away. He doesn't want his rep tarnished as being the King Laker.

Except LA isn’t going to be good enough, short of getting someone like Kawhi or Butler via trade for their young assets. Minnesota isn’t trading Butler the offseason after making the playoffs for the first time in two decades, and Pop isn’t sending Kawhi to LA, even if he demands a trade. Even if the Lakers traded for Kemba Walker or Bradley Beal using their young talent (Ingram, Ball, Kuzma, picks), that big three wouldn’t be better than Golden State’s big 3, and definitely not better than the Warriors’ big 4. Also, unless you want to wear LeBron out making him cover one of the Warriors’ perimeter weapons, where are the elite perimeter defenders other than George to match up with Golden State? They wouldn’t have them.

If LeBron wants to be thought of as the best basketball player ever, Houston is the best choice, unless the Sixers would be willing to deal Simmons for Kawhi (and Kawhi agrees to stay). If he doesn’t care about that, and is more concerned with business ventures, kids, becoming a billionaire, then, sure, the Lakers make sense.

Yes, Harden is durable. So a big two, just like he could possibly have in LA. (Although we would agree Harden > George.)

A lot of it will come down to his desire to play with Harden.

Harden is the 28 year old that can stretch out both of their careers. The decision to come to Houston benefits them all.

PG isn't a needle mover like that anymore and shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence.

They'd have the room exception. If Ariza is really willing to take a discount to go back to California he'd be an option. Mbah a Moute would also be an option.

Even if CP3 gets hurt I would take Capela/Harden/lebron trio over any GSW trio

He didn't leave Miami because Dwyane Wade was old. I have no clue where you're even getting that . Dwyane Wade had 2 good seasons after LeBron left and his playing style relies on athleticism far more than CP3. Dwayne Wade lost his knees a long time ago. LeBron left because of money and obviously to go back home.

And yes as others have noted, rockets have harden who is extremely durable.

Also, this rockets team is deeper than any of those Cavs teams were.

Our boy Fertita needs to FT Bron right now. So much tampering probably going on atm.

He may not be but it doesn't matter what we think. Does LeBron think he can win with George (and whatever else) in LA?

We have not heard 1 positive thing from an insider that would kindle hope for the Rockets to get LeBron.

All we know is we are "speculating" that CP is pushing/in LeBron's ear to come to Houston.

The only proof I see is LeBron's Finals Pressers where he talks about wanting to play for championships and need for high IQ players. That model fits Houston and San Antonio. But could apply to LA depending on getting PG and other vets. So tough to say.

Combination of Wade’s decline, questions around Bosh and wanting to go home.

The thing here is that Harden, Paul and LeBron could each take 15-20 games off and still win around 60 games as long as 2 of the 3 were playing. If 2 out of 3 were out of a game then it would be pretty competitive. But, as long as 2 out of 3 are playing then the Rockets could beat 95% of the league.
