Easy, because that's only a rumor. Cavs may willing to trade Lebron for Ryno if knowing Lebron may pick LA as second destination.

Lebron may say he can go to LA or Houston, Cavs is now your choice to whether accept rox offer or he walk.

    It's called buffing.

Besides we can still flat out sign Lebron as FA. It just harder and we need to break the team up, but its still possible.

Lebron if he is eying to own part of a team. He could work out a deal with Tillman. Let Lebron be the face of the franchise and own some % of the team after he retired.

So this brings up a question. What is the default? If he does not decide, which he will one way or the other, what happens? If not declared, is he a Cav or a FA?

Tbh I hope we don’t get Lebron at this point. Now that I think about it this whole ring chasing by him is a little meh but it would even be more pathetic if he went to Lakers an already proven dynasty.

He should just stay in Cleveland abd that’s most likely what he will end up doing

I bet it gets ridiculous like "Lebron's agent's cousin has ties to a new bank account just opened up in Houston. #confirmed LBJ to HOU"

LA may end up prevailing but I gotta see it to believe it just like we are with Houston as well.

To leave the East and come West to compete against GS, Houston and perhaps even SA at the age of 33 would shock me.

GS and KD just won another championship. KD is becoming more cocky by the season.. they have enough talent to win another 5. They're that scary.. point is you gotta think what scares them most is Lebron James to Houston.

You know how I know? Their fans are talking about how they will improve their team with the MLE. That may be true but we have them *****-made fans talking.

The money isn't coming in Houston. It's a rumor-driven concept.. if some dumb rumor about Houston comes up, the odds will change naturally.

Also, after being heavily favored to get Melo, it's not a bad thing perhaps. OKC's odds weren't that great from what I recall.

Your optimism is a great virtue and I hope you are rewarded.

Me? I got more realistic things to hope for like Spain getting back to the semis in the World Cup.

It's what seems logical. Bron isn't going to LA with PG imo. He isn't viewed as a needle mover like that esp when you have Paul and Harden in your ear.

Everything that happened this past season maximized our chances and pitch to lure Lebron.

If it's a basketball first decision that prevails like it always has been, we are the leader.

it is crazy how far about the 2 bookies are:

Bookmaker: (European? based off email address)

    Lakers -200
    Rockets +800

    Other
    Lakers: +200
    Rockets: +275

If I was a betting man and believed rockets, I would be all over the Bookmaker odds.

Wonder if anyone has done a review of how the time series of previous FA betting odds stacked up against the actual outcomes?

I'm not a gambling man but are the Lakers odds going up bc laker fans are betting on them too much or is it really a likely destination?

The only person who really knows is LeBron, everybody else is just throwing random facts and predictions to get clicks.

These bookers don't know s**t either. They are just playing the money.

its not about the money in future bets such as these.

its more based on the rumors, media, and narratives that are circulating and are getting the most attention that drives these odds.
