Why Would an Intelligent Christian Vote for Trump?

Trump besides his outrageous personality that America has extreme sensitivity too has out performed expectations thus far.

 

If you are a religious devout then you believe in non-scientific, mystical, supernatural, etc... which assumes a certain absence of intelligence.

Secular and non-secular are irrelevant imo. It's about foundation for beliefs and knowledge.

 

How has he out performed expectations? His approval rating is low, some of his closest advisors are going to jail and has a serious investigation against him on going.

 

Sorry for grunching this thread as this may have already been stated, but I think the premise is flawed...not the intelligent Christian part (has this zing been made yet?), but in my worthless humble opinion, if you're leading a life as an intelligent Christian, how you vote has low impact on trying to achieve that standard.

 

Funny... you give trump a pass on all the things he has said and done as due to his "outrageous personality." That's a new one. Wonder how well that will stand up if and when Mueller's findings and recommendations.are made public...

Curious, just what has he done that met or exceeded your expectations?

I look at the job he has done "IN" office.

In all seriousness he has been better for the country than George and Obama.

Agreed. I have no problem with disagreements on politics. I don't let it affect real relationships, and in the end, there are plenty of other areas where people who disagree on politics might agree.

 

I think some folks are coming around. A lot of people want the country to get rid of trump but some have the foresight to know that is a net negative. We need to come together and stop hating each other. The next 2 and a half years can be enjoyable if they would let the hate out.

Obama was witch hunted in office as well. The same people in this forum who are mocking Trump supporters were literally complaining about the same thing. It is sort of hypocritical.

Perhaps if you create a thread about Bill Clinton with the "tone deaf" comments" I might contribute... but somehow "tone deaf" comments from a former president don't seem as important as what's going on now with the current president, no?

I am looking forward to the hats... but yes, don't you think an investigation into russian involvement in our democratic process and the alleged involvement of the trump campaign is worthy of a serious investigation? And if that same person violated financial laws in the process? And they obstructed justice?

Seems protecting America against this should be very important to Americans. Isn't it important to you?
