If CP3 leaves considering this was the closest he's been to winning a title what does that then say about James Harden? I believe CP3's decision to stay or leave ultimately says a lot about Harden as a teammate. You just don't leave a 65 win team that was a game away from going to the finals.
All reports out of the team all year long was how close this team was. CP3 isn't going to leave a team that broke his WCF cherry. Lebron also isn't going to LA. Nothing the Lakers can put together will be better than the Warriors or Rockets with CP3. Why join a team with Paul George, when the Rockets 1a and 1b is better then him? Paul George would be the third best player on the Rockets. Lebron has 3 to 4 more years to supplant his legacy. Meaning he will be the best player on whatever team he goes to and get the full credit for winning a championship. Houston's window is 3 to 4 more years with CP3. He will be coming here, SAS or Boston. The Lakers are not a real choice, unless they can trade away Ball and Ingram for a third star(while removing Deng). Lebron will get to coast in the regular season with the Rockets while saving his legs. He will get to turn it up in the playoffs and destroy the Warriors and face off against his old buddy in Kyrie. Houston bound. This Laker talk is the same it has been every year. The LA appeal isn't as strong as its own media portrays it to be.
I wonder if the Rockets use restricted free agency leverage to enable a deal? The Bulls have so much cap room... you could make them eat Ryno in exchange for a signed and traded Capela (removing their risk of not getting him). The Rockets could take back one of their bigs in return (Lopez for talent, Felicio or Asik as a non-ideal contract). The Bulls are well situated to take Ryno. They need to eat salary to meet the salary floor, and aren't really in play for many big name free agents given their current trajectory. Anderson is really only a liability for another year -- they could either build back his value if he plays (well), or he becomes a mega-expiring contract in a year.

Well the scenario is what if Lebron goes to the Lakers, in that case he will recruit his good friend Cp3 and maybe Cp3 wants to go back to LA as well as play alongside his BFF and young Laker core. In that case Paul George will have no spot in LA and will be up for grabs. I don't think he wants to play with Westbrick anymore, he had his worst season playing alongside the greatest blackhole of all time.

You can tell cp3 is a great player and a teammate and would never have the p***y ass mentality like Durant, therefore, cp3 is staying and aint leaving even if bron asks him to come along to LA assuming that's where he ends up.
This scenario is just laughable. So much desperation from national types for the Lakers to be relevant. Luol Deng is an even worse contract than Ryan Anderson, and so many nationally dismiss Houston's chances at LeBron due to Ryan Anderson. But we're supposed to believe OKC would cave, if PG threatens to go to Philly (I guess), and voluntarily add Luol Deng to a luxury-tax roster? If George tells OKC he's either signing in Philly or willing to be traded to LA (with the only package making the $$$ work being Luol Deng), I'm pretty sure Sam Presti would buy his plane ticket to Philly.
I don't see James coming but Im fine with our same team except Ryno has to go. I hated the signing and I hate it more now. I cant look at that dude sit on the pine looking like he played for Duke anymore.
While I think Paul George to Los Angeles is quite possible, there is a really good chance he takes the money and stays in OKC. Couple that with reports of Leonard accepting the super max in SA and you have to wonder where that leaves LA with James. How viable is LA to James without George or Leonard? LA has assets they can move (however Magic supposedly said they won’t move them) but what all stars are available for LA at that point? Cousins? He won’t get it done... the Lakers just really better hope Paul George leaves OKC.
Quit burying your head in the sand like an ostrich. Just because you don't worry about his age doesn't mean CP3 will become healthy. I said the same thing about Ryan Anderson when he was signed people told me I was just a hater well look at how he cost us the GSW series.
Yeah, I think for LeBron and the LA thing, he needs a 2nd top line player there from the jump. And LeBron probably also needs to see an action plan on how the kids will be moved for vets. I am not sure LeBron is going to go to LA without PG just to "hope" the team makes more moves. The Rockets "made their move" last year with CP3. They are ready built. The have SHOWN to LeBron they can add the pieces (high IQ guys like Tucker and Moute). That has to mean something. It is not just talk. Action. Rockets have the hunger. It is evident. Morey put the league on notice about going after GSW. If LeBron is series about winning championships he comes to Houston. The question I have, is.... 1) Does LeBron want to win championships? 2) Does LeBron want to win championships.....HIS WAY? Clearly it is #2 to me. But like Windhorst said, LeBron is going to have to "#compromise", so the compromise might be "HIS WAY." LeBron needs to treat the Rockets not as Harden's team. But rather as a "collective" like the USA Olympic team. Shared goal.
Remember when Kobe was in the recruiting room during the Dwight FA. Basically drove Dwight to Houston. Nothing would be funnier than seeing Kobe and LaVar Ball drive LeBron away from LA.
