That was the best worst start by a pitcher I've seen in a couple of years. It could have been devastating. but they won a one run game, and sipp was amazing. What's wrong with Giles? He has been perfect in save situations. Has hinch lost Faith? Did he punch himself before the game.
Beating the Rangers is sweet. Wish we could play them every game for the rest of the season.....and win them all!
So, How long before Jake is sent down again? Derrick Fisher or JD Davis coming back? Jake is a Blake hole in the lineup. Kemp has shown he belongs in the Majors.
Still 10-10 in save opportunities with a 0.00 ERA. All other games his ERA is 9+. Not sure where that split ranks all time, but it's got to be near the top.

There's no way he doesn't miss a few starts this year, so you know it's going to happen at some point, seems like a good time to let him get some rest and get some side work with Strom. It's the "something worse" that scares me.
