The script writers are going to be torn over the Warriors quest for the three-peat vs. LeBron/Harden/CP3's revenge tour during next season's WCF. Who gets the golden whistle?

Speaking of golden whistles, that's the award Adam Silver will present Scott Foster with. The trophies the Warriors just hoisted are hollow.

Since the Warriors/Cavs matchup is the best possible ratings matchup for the league, I dont know if they have any incentive to work on greater league parity. The cavs surely wont make the finals next year, but can anyone stop the warriors? The rockets had a decent chance with Iguodala injured, until CP went down, but really, who else is there?

Well, if LeBron stays in the East, it'll be whichever team he's with(Cavs, Celtics, Sixers) emerging from that conference. And then presumably the Warriors will come out of the West again. If some assistance is needed to prevent some upstart team from stealing Golden State's thunder, that's what the likes of Scott Foster and Tony Brothers are there for.

Seriously, the league and its buttsniffers over at ESPN can keep touting the ratings, but they've got a serious problem on their hands. There are numerous organizations not even trying to compete right now, so how do you think their fanbases are gonna react? This isn't like the Lakers/Celtics rivalry in the 80's. There were 7 fewer teams in the NBA back then. You've got maybe 4-5 teams out of 30 that even have a prayer or winning the title going into each season. And to be honest, that number is even smaller during this era.

Bron has every right to be upset...he had very little help and his teammates couldn’t even be trusted with knowing the score at the end of a finals game

imagine going up against GS with your 2nd best player being Kevin Love, and then there being a huge drop off from there...no wonder Bron pissed and upset

I actually did it. I did NOT watch ONE fking game and man there was ZERO fking reason to watch. When the match up is this lop-sided what’s the incentive? There isn’t one unless you’re a fan of one of those teams and both fan bases KNEW the outcome before the game 1 tip.....

Literally the worst finals in recent memory. For three of four games, the Cavs we're non-competitive and looked overwhelmed even when the Warriors played their "B" lineup with Javale McGee and David West. The Warriors rarely looked challenged and always seemed to be in control, even when the Cavs went on runs here and there.

In the West, the Cavs are a team that fights for an 8th spot and loses quickly in a first round exit. Given how terrible this finals was, I think Adam Silver will overhaul the playoffs next year to the 1-16 format with conference play only determining who gets in, but then seeding cross-conference after that.

I’m sneaking up on 49 and as a fan you still have a rooting/vested interest but you no longer live and die on the outcomes....I enjoy it for what it is which is entertainment. Yea my team didnt win but man there are so many cities that haven’t sniffed our success or chips so I’m not happy with the outcome but I can reconcile the disappointment and live another day....

STOLEN CHAMPIONSHIP!!!....It should be the Rockets in the finals whopping the Cavs! This was our year and it was taken from us by the refs!! I'M OUTRAGED...F*ck the NBA, F*ck Adam Silver, F*ck the Warriors, F*ck Kevin Durant!! Warriors will never be seen as a great team..they're a league creation!! Lebron...it's the Rockets are no Championship! Lebron, Harden alone will win us rings..Chris Paul is the icing on the cake! Make the right decision Lebron!

The only video I watched of this finals was JR Smith throwing game one. That was hilarious.

One thing that's interesting is doing the trophy presentations and interviews for the clinchng road team. Isn't it usually done in the visiting locker room?

Game 1 went to overtime. Cavs led game 3 with 3 minutes to go.

This doesn't mean anything, it's a sort of comforting talk usually for the losing side.

"Hey, don't let the box score deceive you, it was closer than you think". I am sorry but in a 7 game series, you actually have to win 1 or 2 for a series to be considered competitive.

This was never competitive ever since Kyrie was traded in the off-season. The factors you've listed merely makes this watchable, not competitive.

The warriors may be the best team in the league by a wide margin, and have a dynasty on their hands now, but they will never reach the Celtics level of 11 titles in 13 years.

So that's finally over, anyone who believes this Finals was not in the league and ABC's best interest - thus referees helping make it happen -should read about how much money ABC made on every Finals game and look at the ratings. Rockets would've won the trophy if it hadn't been for the corruption to get the most money and ratings out of this entertainment product. I'm no longer invested emotionally and will watch some Rockets highlights for the rest of my life, but I will not spend a single dime nor my time on any NBA related product, show or anything like it. It is what it is, glad this year opened my eyes fully. Good luck everyone, wish you all well as passionate fans, but hope you take the time with your families, friends, loved ones and not sacrifice anything to attend / watch a game. It's just not worth it.
