So now some are attempting to rewrite history for the sake of hating on Trump. For shame.

aside from the fact that canada was not even a country at that time, the other thing is that the brits burned down the white house in retaliation to the americans burning down an entire town and parliamentary building in ontario.

What are you talking about? People are calling him out for being a complete doofus when it comes to American history.
Exactly - cannot be clearer than that. I don't know about you Cohete - but my standards for a President is probably higher than most and it starts with a basic, rudimentary understanding of American History.

The winners get to write history, or something like that is my guess at what he's saying.

Let's take a moment to remember all those lost on June 6th, 1944 (D-Day) when the allies invaded mainland Japan.

Then half their steel manufacturers go bankrupt because the low commodity prices won't support the costs of their operations. Finally, steel prices go back up, the remaining producers are okay, but consumers are paying marginal costs again for their steel.

Quoted because I can't like it twice!

Why do the steel prices go up. You didn't show your workings there. A few steel mills closing in canada does not change world prices, that is the great part about being a small country.

Fair point, they can continue to import cheap steel. So then, does that mean all their steel mills face a solvency risk without access to the US market? Yeah, they can put steel on a boat and ship to Europe or South America or whatever, but the basis cost would be cheapest in exporting to the US.

access, I really hate this word used incorrectly all the time. No one is shutting down canadian steel at the border. All of their steel mills would be harmed which ones survive is based on market demand.

Your focus on keeping steel jobs alive at the cost of all other Canadians is the problem. Canadian import millions more tons of steel than they export.

With the concession of steel prices not jumping back up for some stupid reason your entire critique is dead.
