    Good for Jared Kushner who apparently lobbied for this as well and is a prison reform advocate.

    Good for Donald Trump.

    This is what the pardon power is best used for. Not to throw your weight around to undermine the rule of law, and obstruct justice.

    Kudos to Kim for getting this one done. Good job by Trump.

    The crazy thing is, this reportedly is the pardon that has General Kelley at odds with the president. Really... whats the one thing about this pardon that is drastically different than all the others? What a POS.

    This woman was involved in moving 2000-3000 KILOS of Coke. This was not some small time drug dealer moving a few rocks. "non-violent"? Moving that much weight had violence involved.....even If she didn't pull the trigger. There is a reason Obama didn't commute her sentence. If Trump followed the Justice procedures that give him all the facts and reasoning.......she wouldn't be getting out.

    It's a serious offense. But, life without parole is too much. I'm happy with the pardon.

    As for process, it's there to serve the president. It's probably a good idea, it probably protects the president from reputational risk. But, I don't think I'd put an asterisk next to anyone's name because they got a pardon without a process.

    Can you imagine if Obama met with a Kardashian then a few days later pardoned a black drug dealer serving a life sentence for selling massive quantities of drugs?

    Wouldn't have been as bad as when he commuted the sentence of a traitor and did the same for a terrorist.....I'm not saying I necessarily agree with Trump commuting the sentence of someone who was moving that much cocaine, but it's nothing compared to the crimes commuted by the previous guy.
