I am still intrigued, have been for years, lloll. I think he is a smart and competitive player, no matter if he comes over or not.
I suspect, as BT inferred, that SL is Best as a trade option. And frankly, the tea leaves in front of Old ...x... say Memphis. Read’m and ... whatever.
Clint grew up as a Swiss kid with a single mother who was an out-of-work actress, and he had to live in welfare orphanages during the week so he could go to school. I'm not sure he's going to prioritize a ring over a max contract.
Speaking of Euroleague players. Rockets always liked Nick Calathes. He is looking to make it back to the NBA now that his contract is up!
That guy had the worst hair in the NBA (or maybe was tied with Marcus Thorton and Kosta Koufos). Then he finally shaved it and it increased his badassness 100%.
I think theres an interesting trade proposition here, McCollum to Cleveland for Love. Gives Portland’s better balance and gives Cleveland another creator and potential post lebron foundation piece. Portland probably needs a 1st but they do shed a milly and that is a team desperate to continue avoiding the luxury tax. But if lebron stays in Cleveland, Ryan would be a good love replacement. Possibly for George hill who has a very team friendly structured contract going forward
I am really hyped for this offseason, Zach Lowe and Windhorst said a lot teams are unhappy with their players and they expect a flurry of transactions. And we all know Daryl and Presti will do something weird. I can see TOR, WASH, MEM, SAS, POR, breaking up their core. Draft night should be interesting.
LOL, great stuff @cyberx. Man, Spurs probably doing what they can to rid themselves of BOTH Gasol and Patty Mills. Some bad contracts there.
I don't get how people are dubious on @cyberx. Both @Clutch and @The Cat have vouched for him. If you are dubious of Cyberx, then you are dubious of Clutch and The Cat. That is all.
Some people are simply professional doubters. Naturally very little of what an insider hears comes to pass (not all teams will get LeBron and Paul George), so then people become doubters. (shrug)
It wasn’t steroids. He took a drug or supplement to regrow his hair which had traces of a banned substance.
Could you foresee a scenario where Rockets do a sign and trade with Capela? The reasoning would be basically: as much as Rockets love him, they don't think a max contract for a center is the best allocation of resources in the modern NBA. Capela did everything Rockets asked of him in the playoffs, some of their best lineups were still with a wing playing center. Thus, Rockets sign Capela to a max deal and trade to another team to acquire a wing, and have as their starting center a player in the mold of Zaza, Baynes, McGee, etc who soaks up regular season minutes and all but disappears in those tough playoff minutes... Edit: stray language
Damn my greek team is about to lose Calathes as expected with such a messed up idiotic owner that we have ended up with. And nope he can't shoot still.
