Career best though and potentially an outlier. He's more of an attacking guard that can shoot and Gordon is a shooting guard that can attack. 9 out of 10 years Gordon is going to be the better shooter.

Thanks. That's EXACTLY why I asked. Portland looks as if they're ready to part ways with either Dame or CJ. If we could get CJ as a replacement for Gordon then I think we save ourselves another few years

considering he shot half as many times as EG, the % is somewhat of a fluke.

Gordon also shot more than twice as many 3’s as Evans in 17 more games played.

I don’t think Tyreke keeps up that career % with how much more volume he’d be jacking up in Houston.

To me given Pau that large contract was puzzling he isnt close to being the same player he was when he was on the Bulls let alone the Lakers. He is still really skilled but he doesnt have the quickness to stay with players on the perimeter anymore and they already have a post up/stretch guy in LMA already. Not sure if anyone out there is willing to take on that contract right now. Its not toxic, but I cannot see a situation where Pau would be a significant contributor anywhere right now in the league on the court. He probably is a great body to have in practice and in the locker room though.

LOL, I still cant get over his face when he said it.

But honestly, I really dont want to part with EG unless for something really special. I think he's so valuable and his contract is great.

Morey should have checked their interest for a Ryan Anderson- kawhi trade.

Gordon is being underrated on this board. He's been a good defender here and helps make our switching defense work. Everyone focuses on guys like Ariza, Tucker, etc. but Gordon being able to switch across the perimeter has been huge as well. The ideal scenario would see us keeping him somehow.

I honestly don't want Eric to go, but if Tyreke comes for the MLE and if DM can swing a package deal with Eric for Jimmy Butler, I will take that gamble. I would feel hurt even if that comes through.

A starting line up of Capela, Tucker, Butler, Harden and CP3 with Tyreke off the bench would be a formidable one.

Man I really love all our guys(Even Anderson.......he's a swell guy) and Gordon is really valuable to us. Fact is though, his contract and his play make him a valuable piece for pretty much any team. He's that good. So if we are it BETTER be for something good.

and its interesting for all the flack gordon got around here about being unhealthy/injury prone and its only a matter of time til he got hurt. some of these scenarios about a guy replacing him in evans who is so much more worse.

I think Butler would be a perfect fit here, if we strike out on LeBron or George (and I might prefer him to George), and if Minnie wants to move him (and they would probably be nuts to move him). The guy does everything we need from a wing and in spades, in my opinion. Of course, like James and George (2 first name/last names!), how do you get him without gutting the team? Damn Anderson and his contract. I threw a fit here when I heard about the deal, and then eased up on the guy after he played pretty well for us - until this season. $20 million for a guy who finished the year scoring less than 10 ppg, and who was an anchor around our necks in the playoffs, with his salary still hanging around our necks to torture us until we find a way to rid ourselves of him.

I'm sure glad that I'm not Daryl Morey. Great expectations for the off-season, and a nearly impossible task.

Fair enough. I can’t argue if that’s your opinion. My opinion is the opposite in that habits are developed during the regular season. OKC is a prime example. Showed up for big games, chilled against nobodies. That team ends up being weak mentally overall. Idling during the regular season somewhat contributed to the droughts in the playoffs imo. I don’t see how they could coast mentally with so many superstars on the team. Gotta find the team identity, role, minutes, etc. I do agree that role players very likely shy away from the moment in the playoffs. But with a super team, hopefully the impact of that tendency is minimized.

I'd just like to point out Hou is nothing like Okc. I believe that says enough

I know. I’m just using them as an example of a super team with the “we’ll be fine” mentality. GS had it too, and they should be watching us in the finals right now. Damn it hurts again
