Wrong. You can’t argue that teams aren’t “deserving” to be invited because of the political positions or behavior of some of their players, and then simultaneously argue that the politics and behavior of this particular president are irrelevant.

Moreover, everything Trump does is about himself. You want to separate the presidency from the man, but that ignores the fact that Trump’s chief goal in every action he takes as president is self-glorification. This wouldn’t be about honoring the achievement of the Eagles. For Trump, it’s an occasion to bring honor to himself. An honor, I maintain, he does not deserve.
