    First, yes anyone in their right mind that is a Rockets fan would deal Gordon and Capela for essentially LeBron James. This post season has AGAIN just highlighted that LeBron James is on a level above every other basketball player on the planet and he is aging well.

    Also the possibility of rolling Capela into another deal or as an asset in a S&T has been considered.

    If Cleveland where to accept that trade they would be paying 100 million dollar luxury tax bill for a team that might not make the playoffs.

    Appreciate that. But look at the entire sum. It's Gordon, Capela, Anderson, nene, onuaku for Lebron and two firsts. That means we've got all our firsts plus two extra first rounders. But we didn't have any contracts to trade besides PJ,whom we really want to keep, and we only have the $4.5 million exception, possibly our second rounder, and minimum salary signings to fill out the roster. And to trade editions available either.

    Do you still do the deal?

    Hmm. This deal would concern me if it were for Paul George.

    If we paid him $40 million, we'd exceed his max salary. The league would probably frown upon that.

    Plus, hope you can keep Luc Mbah a Moute and Gerald Green on vet exception deals (and use Bird rights to keep Tarik Black because you kind of have to).

    Hypothetical is one thing.

    This hypothetical would have to involve a third team, because someone will try to pay Clint Capela, and Cleveland isn't a #1 destination. Not with Kyrie Irving already gone and LeBron coming back in the deal.

    I suppose the summer isn't awful in Cleveland, but how often can you go look at the lake or go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? "Hey, it's Clint Capela!"

    No need to get defensive. Or offensive, for that matter.

    We are certain, absolutely certain, that more possibilities are forthcoming.

    We are not going to trade lesser players for the greatest player of all time while profiting not 1 but 2 first round picks in the process. Sorry.

    Saying "open your mind" does not instantly make it realistic. Would we all love such a scenario? Sure. But it ain't happening. I will personally hand-craft Morey a key to the city if it does.

    Absolutely not. Replacing EG shouldn't be that difficult. But replacing him and Capela is not worth the hassle of getting LeBron. People underestimate how important Clint was to this team's success this past season. That 42-3 record with him, Harden, and CP3 in the lineup was no fluke. Neither was what he did against Towns and Gobert in the playoffs.

    I voted yes for your trade too. I am on board with any trade that brings me Lebron. I don't care who we giving up and who's coming back, I just hope it doesn't cost that much.

    I'll play the game and say yes, but don't believe it has any chance of happening this way. Also don't understand why Durant was mentioned in a subsequent post of yours. Is this a fantasy thread based on your thinking up scenarios or is this what you think is being discussed.

    Right I mean, obviously you do what you have to in order to put that team together. Not sure why OP tries to shoehorn dumping Capela into everything though.

    I'd rather have Capela on that team to be the finisher.
