This won't work either. Capela is a RFA, you cannot trade him. The opt-in trade works because you are trading players under contract for 2018-19. You are using 2018-2019 salaries for matching. You are able to execute the trade just like draft trades because the moratorium opens after July 1st. You are in effect not signing or negotiating with a FA. No good thing comes from us trading or not resigning Capela. He will be a Rocket. We need him. He is killer effective against 28 teams and highly effective in points against the Warriors. If a player carries your through all but a few games, you take that vs Ryno's DNPs. Operating with salary cap and signing LBJ just makes no sense in any scenario. Our best and really only avenue to get LBJ is the opt-in and trade. I believe he wants to do it. The only question here is can we trade Ryno. If that happens I believe the rest of this falls in place.

I have always hated that f*&kin' idiot. I cannot even say dumb as a box of rocks because that is offensive to rocks. He has his head so far up the Lakers ass that they would have to surgically remove him. LA fanboy.

I don't call winning the Championship last Monday night and losing two rigged games sh1tting the bed. There is no way the Rockets were winning those two games with what happened. If you believe that I have some beachfront property to sell you.

Will Jimmy let king James run the show in Houston? I find this hard to believe. Let’s make this clear - Lebron runs the show everywhere he goes. Can harden swallow his pride for a chanpionship(s)

    He better

Scalabrine's right. Although he left out Eric Gordon though as a piece the Cavs would presumably get if they agreed to trade LeBron here. That would be a valuable asset along with a couple draft picks(with limited protection).

What LeBron needs to concern himself with is not beating the Warriors. He could theoretically do that teaming up with Simmons and Embiid in Philly. He could even possibly do that in LA with PG13 and their core of young players. What joining Harden, CP3, Capela, and Tucker does is give him a shot to destroy the Warriors. It doesn't make sense at this stage of his career to go to a team where you have a shot at winning at Golden State. What makes sense is going somewhere where you're a heavy favorite. That's what the Rockets can provide for him(assuming they can replace EG).

I also think Boston is the better fit over Philly, young core that can compete now.

They just have to sort things out with Kyrie and Hayward. No shet. Very long shot.

Boston is absolutely a great fit. But would he actually go there? I always assumed that was a non-starter.

I’m willing to bet my savings that Bron doesn’t go to Philly.. that team isn’t even a favorite to beat a healthy Boston next year.

Does Bron sign on July 1st? Suspense is killing me at this point.

Ainge is a conniving fox, I dun expect him to go there but I would not surprised if he thought about that. That all.

Why not go there? (Boston) Maybe he's not interested, maybe he wouldn't go and maybe they're not interested in him(ha) but it's weird when they're brought up...

He can't go there. He's not going there.
He can't go there! They got Kyrie Irving.
He can't go there! They got Hayward, Tatum & Brown.

    Kyrie Irving or LeBron James?
    Gordon Hayward or LeBron James?

While he did "force" Kyrie to want out of there, he didn't want them to trade him.

Not if he's coming to the Rockets.

If he opts in on June 27th-28th-29th (whatever his opt-in/out date is), hold onto your butts! If he opts out, it's probably not happening. (Or at the very least, becomes a whole lot harder than it already was.)

I'm looking at Boston's cap situation and damn, I didn't realize how many free agents they have this summer and next(assuming a bunch of players opt out). Monroe, Smart, Baynes, and Larkin are all free agents this offseason. Next year, Horford and Kyrie can opt out. Tatum and Brown have team options, so they'll be looking to be extended. And Morris, Rozier, and Theis will be free agents.

If they did get LeBron, they'd probably have to move Hayward AND Kyrie just to make sure they can afford to resign most of their other guys. Hell, they may have to move them even if they don't get LeBron.

If the Warriors are going to get the whistles they've gotten this postseason and get away with the hacking in the paint, it doesn't matter who adds what player.

The Warriors are a perfect team for this era. Great defense, league best shooting, great iso players, great passing, can run, etc. Even another super team is only 50/50. What you CAN'T overcome those is touch fouls in favor of the Warriors and absolute mugging allowed by their defense. I don't care if you had Lebron, Harden, Paul George, Chris Paul and Porzingis.
