How many pitches did Cionel throw? He was up to 90 his last start or 2, and in the 80s before that. Innings don't matter for him yet.

eta: and what did all his **** look like in the 5th vs the 1st?

Derek Fisher hit for the cycle, so his rehab seems to be going alright

While Stassi's offense will likely regress a lot, his framing looks legit. If Astros had a good left-handed hitting backup, Astros would be okay with Stassi as the starter.

The only somewhat notable repeaters were Jose Alvarez and Jose Betances, though neither were exactly large names.

What appears to be notable is the lack of OF Franklin Pinto, LHP Ricardo Leon, and LHP Julio Robaina on the DSL roster. They were three of the more highly regarded prospects signed last J2, and may have skipped straight to the GCL. LHPs Cristofer Mezquita (30K bonus) Daniel Bello (unreported bonus) are the only other 2 players signed since J2 that have not appeared on a roster.

Astros pitchers get a lot of borderline called strikes when he catches and based on his smooth, solid glovework it is likely to continue.

Heitor Tokar got the start for the DSL Astros on their Opening Day.

    He's the big Brazilian (6-7, 250) who got $300,000 last July 2.

I haven't seen much of his catching this season. How has his ball blocking skills shown?

Alvarez has been out almost a month now. Yikes.

Tokar threw four perfect innings, striking out two.

    FIRST!

Sounds like the perfect September call up to close in the postseason.

Why wait for September? Sipp is sucking hard now.

Regardless of what one thinks about Sipp, he is doing his primary job very well. Left handed hitters are 2-20 against him and he burns an inning in the occasional blow out.

Well can he keep his era under 11... because if he does, it will be better than our closer gave us last post season.

Kyle Tucker (8, 2-run) and Tyler White (9, solo) hit back-to-back homers in the 1st inning of Fresno's game with Albuquerque.
