I wish they'd use him as backup C/backup 1B occasionally. Not a fan of using him just as a DH, would be nice to get more out of his roster spot. Do you think the Astros re-sign him next year, or does he go elsewhere as a catcher?
Not sure "children's novels" actually exist. Kid's books, sure. Shel Silverstein? Roald Dahl? Maurice Sendak? Margaret Wise? Dr. Seuss?
The interesting thing is that there are some pretty terrible people in that list.... I would be entertained.
He physically cannot play first. They tried and it hurt him. At one point they were not sure he could even catch.
Oh I know, not sure how interesting it is. But they are all great books. Lots of classic authors are/were complete assholes.
Interesting people are impressed with Peacock after he failed in his last 2 outings. Not that I have an issue with Peacock, just that there seems to be a grass is greener mindset with our closer situation.
If/when he gets his slider back together: it doesn't have the bite to the down and the down and out that it did last year. He throws way, way too many frisbee sliders this year....
Good. I like his personal story, but he's expendable and can be replaced internally. I can definitely see somebody else (not quite sure who, though) signing him for a respectable amount. Plus, free up the money for Cole when he becomes a FA. Didn't know that was the case. I remember Blum mentioned during a game (probably during ST) that Gattis could also play first, but maybe he was just referring to the past.
