[2018 Summer] Best Salad Bar in Houston

I am planning to be more veggie intensive
Ordering Salads at fast food joints seems .. . limiting
Jason's Deli has been the GOTO of recent
    Souper Salad seems defunk now . . . ..

What other places offer a good selection

You don't win friends with salad.

Not a salad bar, but I could eat pappas or pappadeaux Greek salad every damn day. They have a bulk “to go” Greek salad that is HUGE.....serves like six people for twenty bucks. When I think of salad.....that’s what I dream of.

Republic Grill has good steak salads. But as a salad only place... I'd take Salata over Sweet Tomato.

Don't listen to Jugdish, he went to Bovine University.

Best salad bar you can find is at one of the Argentine/Brazilian steakhouses.

What do they put on it that makes it great?

Sweet Tomato FTW. Just wished they had more locations other than Willowbrook, Memorial, and Sugarland.

My geriatric ass is also on their email list, so I'm always pulling out the phone at the register for an $8.49 lunch. If they had a location by my work or house, they'd have to change their hours to prevent me from coming, because i run trains on that soup bar

I also way over eat when I'm there. Their soups are just too good, I can't help but eat like 5 bowls everytime. This is often why I end up at Salata, because i go to town like a crack fiend in a coke factory at Sweet Tomato

Hmm.....it’s a fairly straightforward Greek salad (though they will give you anchovies on request which i have a weakness for), but the ingredients are quality, and it’s quite a bit more acidic than most. Vinegar in the dressing and fresh squeezed lemon juice. Quite a few large boiled shrimp in the bulk version too. Just a quality Greek salad......and/or one that specifically appeals to me.

Only if you're a sucker and don't use the coupons and go for lunch!

We got to Sweet Tomato at least 3 times a month. That place could have me going 3 times a week if they moved closer to downtown.
