Play with the Point God and Harden or play with JR’s high ass.

    Lebron to Houston confirmed.

What a crazy chain of events, all thanks to Crooked Refs and JR Smith that we get LBJ

No, because of the following reasons:

    1) LeBron had to bust his ass at age 33 just to get this far. He played every game, logged heavy minutes, and was their primary ballhandler. As great as he is, how many more seasons does he seriously think he can play at this level being required to do so much?

    2) The Cavs barely squeaked by the Pacers in Round 1(with homecourt advantage) and the Celtics in the ECF(with Boston missing two of their best players). How do they think they'll fare next season with the Pacers having more confidence, the Sixers having more experience, and the Celtics having their two injured stars back in uniform and an ungodly number of assets at their disposal this summer to improve their roster even more?

    3) The Cavs' roster is capped out and they have a bunch of players who are locked up for 2 more seasons who no team will take off their hands(aside from Love and Thompson, but Cleveland would be very hesitant to part with them). That #8 pick is pretty much their only method of improving the team.

If LeBron is thinking of only next season, I suppose he could opt in and take one more shot at it. If however he's thinking of the next 2-4 years, he needs to get the hell out of there ASAP.

J.R. needs to join Dwight somewhere. Those two deserve each other.

No kidding. The b*stard is dirty as hell. Why he hasn't been booted already is something I think the league should answer for. What's the deal? If you are with the "Golden" boys of Oakland, you can get away with murder? Sure looks like it.

Wow. Draymond and Kevon Looney BOTH holding onto Tristan Thompson. Should've been another foul called before J.R. even had a chance to dribble.

if i'm not mistaken, Lebron helped facilitate those deals for Thompson (2015) and JR (2016). So as much as the Cavs organization is to blame for handing out these contracts, Lebron is equally at fault for pushing for these types of contracts. IMO, he only has himself to blame for pulling his best Carroll Dawson impression.

"The re-signing of Smith comes two weeks after LeBron James publicly criticized the organization for failing to get a deal done by the start of training camp." - https://www.sbnation.com/nba/2016/10/14/12034638/jr-smith-cleveland-cavaliers-resign-nba-free-agency

Regarding Thompson's extension, i cant find an article, but I was living in Cleveland at the time and heard their Sports Talk people talking about Lebron wanting to do whatever it takes to keep Thompson. Well that got Thompson a near max deal.

If he does come to Houston, I just hope he lets Morey do what Morey does best...

Oh, no doubt. I'm not assigning blame for those contracts. Merely pointing out that they exist and the Cavs are basically stuck with them for the next 2 seasons. That being said, yes they were LeBron's calls. He wanted to make sure the organization took care of JR and especially Tristan.

The good news is the Rockets kinda already have a core here. They may make minor tweaks to the roster with LeBron's input, but there's no need for a major overhaul given they're coming off a 65-win season. Not to mention that Morey is the GM(and not just in name only), and LeBron would never sign here without a good understanding of that.

I don't know man. JR plus the refs Lebron may pull a MJ move and retired for one year than come back.
