I actually agree... the show seemed to cast people of different political positions. But at the same time, the show's main attraction and the people that were attracted to the show were conservatives.
You clearly did just a few minutes ago. you putting quotes around conservative represents you quoting yourself. I was unaware of this millions number though.
I think we're entering into dangerous territory when comedians can't tell jokes without having to apologize. I watched Roseanne, I thought it was a funny show and I enjoyed the political back and forth. I think there's a big need for a show like that, reminded me a bit of All in the Family. I guess to me the dividing line is what comedians say just as personal thoughts and what they say while they're doing an act. So I don't care what Roseanne or any other comedian says during their act, I think that's fair game. But I think it's obvious Roseanne is just a bigot who lets it slip sometimes. If Roseanne were doing a comedy routine and said VJ looked like a cross between the Muslim brotherhood and planet of the apes then I think that's fair game. Same with Samantha Bee. Of course Trump is the fake outrage manufacture machine who likes to play whataboutism and wants people to apologize for anything they do while he does and says the stupidest, most disgusting things and wont' apologize for anything. He can't go to hell quickly enough.
If anyone attacked Obama's kids like Samantha Bee attacked Ivanka they would be fired on the spot. The double standard is real.
Obama's kids aren't trifling b****es like Ivanka If Obama's kids were trifling b****es then they would be fair game If Obama's campaign and presidency was half as dirty as Trump's, he would have been impeached yesterday When you compare Obama to Trump, you lose bruh
I'm totally cool with the firing of Samantha Bee, but again with the stupid comparison. Ivanaka Trump is an ADULT who works in the White House, handles the people's business while she also runs her own business. Obama's kids were kids.
Remember when Michael Richards aka Kramer had his meltdown?? Has anyone really heard from him since?? I agree that comedians usually get more leeway with some things compared to others but there are just some things that are so taboo that you just don't go there. If you decide to go there, prepare to get your ass destroyed.
Actually, past president's kids have been unfairly targeted... Carter's daughter insulted for her looks, Clinton's daughter for her looks, GWB's daughter's for drinking and being partiers, Obama's kids for their clothes (and the oldest for smoking). I have already criticized Bee's comment, I also think your whataboutism is completely wrong... the day trump brought his kids into his administration they quit being "president's kids" and became fair game for questions and criticism. If Baron gets criticized you would have a point... but Ivanka, Donald Jr and Eric are adults who have assumed roles in the administration or as spokespeople for the president. Open season on them.
Obama was cuddled by the media for 8 years. Take your blindfolds off. Conservatives have a shorter leach. It's not even up for debate
because your ordinary average american feels totally normal about 9 year old boys wearing a dress? on what grounds is it populist? sara gilbert is far left and the executive producer.
There are liberals and conservatives in the populist ranks. The point of the show was to examine the issues of the day through the lens of a working class midwest white family. Gender issues are topical, so it's in the show. What's populist about it is staging how alleged everyday Americans might react to it instead of how a show like Transparent might treat it.
Forget the reality of what the show is, the relevance is what Trump and his supporters THINK the show is. Trump said "it's about us!" When the show was cancelled twitter, facebook, etc. filled up with Trumpsters pointing it out as "another" example of a conservative show being cancelled. Who cares whether the show is really conservative?
