CP3 isn't better than Harden, not even close. But, what hurt about losing him was not having more activity and drives. Rockets were just heaving up 3's, and none of them would go in. Rockets got tight, which makes basket a lot smaller. Warriors were loose and in a groove, which makes basket much bigger.

I don't think Rockets would miss 37 of 44 3's in a gym, if they were blindfolded. But when they stop going in, and you get behind, and get tight...that's what can happen.

 

No we're complaining that his shot disappeared when he had to start playing defense.

Harden did what he could, he was up against too much. CP3 would've lost by himself as well.

 

Will this stop already? He's always outnumbered and relied upon heavily. It's not his fault he's consistently facing teams with greater depth and talent. He needs more help (which he would have had if CP3 didn't get injured). He's only one man, not a god.

 

Maybe. He has made tremendous improvement last couple years. But he doesn't seem like he can do it alone...he needs teammates around him who can make shots. Other than Gordon..that was missing.

It also didn't help that the refs decided he wasn't going to get a shooting foul no matter what happened. That takes away a lot of his game (intentional??), and certainly wouldn't help his confidence.

 

seems like typical number for Harden in the playoffs lol. and that was before when he played zero defense. Harden's game relies heavily on his 3's falling, it's always been the case. They have never fallen in the playoffs, like not ever, I still remember him jacking up and missing a ton of 3's in the Portland series when we eventually lost.

The problem is his 3 pointers are always difficult. Curry and Klay gets a lot of open threes through running around screens and they can heat up. I don't think you can realistically heat up from taking 3's Harden's taking, it just gets you more and more tired.

 

I agree. He needs to get easier shots. He's just expending too much energy per shot he's taking.

That seems to be obvious to everyone except Harden and the coaching staff. The opponents certainly enjoy it I'm sure.

Idk why Harden is hated on to this degree. 2 WCF trips in 4 years and last season dragged a highly flawed team to 55 wins and the second round. He got us to game 7 against the greatest team ever constructed and hes a fraud? Was it his fault Chris Paul got injured???? Thank god you morons arent involved in the teams decision making. I will say this though the Rockets home crowd is the whackest in the nba. They are so docile and classy. They should have made the refs feel like their lives were on the line....
