Geez. I totally forgot we had McHugh avaliable in the bullpen. Second lowest reliever ERA in the majors. Basically lights out for us the entire year. Easily our best reliever. Let's go with Harris and Rondon to try to preserve the lead in the 9th. Bleh.
Again, McHugh pitched yesterday and also on Thursday. Nobody knows how often he can go at this point, he's been used sporadically until now.
The Astros believe in protecting arms. They only used McHugh today because they ran out of other options. Peacock is similarly available, and they are similarly going to try to protect him if they can. Both threw a decent number of pitches yesterday. Same reason Devo isn't being used for multiple innings this year.
