1st quarter leads are the ultimate fools’ gold now that teams like the Rockets and Warriors take so many threes. I almost prefer not to jump out to a big lead, because it seems to lull the team into a false sense of security and they relax a bit. Last night, the Warriors probably would have won anyway, but if the Rockets has been sharper in the second and third quarters, they may have had a better chance of withstanding that run in the fourth.

Yes both teams can put up a lot of points quickly and the MO of GSW has been to start out slow and crank it up in the second half. A point is a point though on the final box score. You have to expect that either team can make a late surge but that is why it's important to capitalize while you can. The Rockets had a nice lead in the first half but a 20 or 30 point lead would've made it that much harder for GSW to come back. With a team as good as GSW any cushion you can get whether in the first or fourth is going to be valuable..

well yeah, golden state is a bandwagon team, so there's no established forum for their new "fans". Where else is he suppose to go.

don't see what is so attractive about clutchfans to a warriors fan. nobody wants them here.

at least on reddit or realgm you can be around other warriors fans that will circle jerk each other over their babied and protected team.

Before the game my big point of emphasis was Poise and Turnovers.

And there we were with the damaging turnovers. :-(

I did not expect the Travishamockery of the officials though. What a brutal whistle.

Rockets have no margin for error. They did so well in the 1st half. Hopefully they can bottle that up for game 7.

Our defense was awful last night. Klay was just sitting in the corners open, no one even contesting. Harden seriously becomes so lost on defense it's sad, any time Curry/Klay is taking a wide open three. It's because Harden isn't stepping up on the picks or just lose them by ball watching.

I 100% expect the NBA to deploy the Foster/Brothers combo to game 7. Book it.

I go back and forth on this. On one end it felt like Harden was pressing a bit because he is the leader and he knows his team needs him to score. But on the other hand, at times it felt like he was taking too much of the burden and not trusting teammates. There were a lot of Harden drives, contact, no fouls called and then that lead to poor transition defense the other way losing guys for open 3pt shots. A compounded effect.

We can fault Harden for the turnovers, but it really felt like he was doing what I could to win the game.

Gotta say the season ending like this is pretty much the worst way possible. You know you're better, and that you can beat them but you'll lose anyway.

    Can barely blame anyone.

Though Harden playing like a complete b**** in game 5 made CP3 take on a crazy two-way load just to win it.

I really hate saying this, alot of those Open Klay threes were on Harden or Tucker leaving him open. Tucker I dont blame Tucker as much, but Harden HAS to get back he HAS to chase after Klay.

We are gonna have to accept the fact that game 7 will be a defensive game and we are gonna have to grind it out. One good thing about those Harden step back threes is that he's at least able to get back. When he drives(and gets hacked) then he''s left on the ground or left severely behind an open shooter.

I'm pretty bummed out, but our guys are exceeding expectations and CP3 is out.

Thank you rockets, played like the best team in the RS and the playoffs this series. Sometimes you just don't have enough.
