Why do you think I wanted DMo or Anderson to start at center? We need a 3pt shooter to offset Green's camping in the lane a Mehmet Okur type. It is a HUGE hole in our offense against GS a big with range. DD
fwiw: Harden got an AND-1 on Steph for blocking foul on a drive. So, I don't know how accurate the stats are.
If James gets a few of those calls we lose by 19 instead of 29...wonderful Either way they need to call those in Houston if we are going to have a chance
The refereeing was bad. However Harden drives to get the foul, not the layup. That is just bad basketball. Harden can't do ISO's the entire time for one game, then 3's the next game, and the driving fouls the next game. We did much better when Harden would drive then pass it out instead of going for the foul.
Come on, dude! Young is hand checking him. It's pretty obvious. He's not playing defense with his feet. Curry does the same thing every play. Reach reach reach, arm bar, hand check, etc. Very difficult to watch. Same goes for Green's illegal screens. This was a fix on the level of the Kings Lakers
Don’t you think it changes the mindset of Harden when you aren’t rewarded for being ultra aggressive? Getting to the line is a pivotal part of his game The refs gave them the momentum at every corner is what it comes down to me
All I want is a fair game called. If you call ticky-tack fouls on one end, then you need to call it on both ends, period. Warriors are tugging and hacking on one end with no calls, and we are getting called for blowing on them. CALL IT EVENLY Harden does need to go to the hole looking to score instead of the foul.
You have to be kidding, right? Young is sideways and impeding his progress for one. Then draymond clear uses his left hand/arm to give a shove. Sometimes people get too caught up in wanting to not be a homer.
What is great about this clip is Harden drives, gets shoved by Green's left arm/hand and then Green RAISES HIS RIGHT HAND to say to the ref "yup I fouled him" and yet no foul is called. Green was 100% ready to account for that foul. He only had 2 the entire game. Sure, he was going to take a foul there. But no call. Just comical.
On this play, it almost looks like Harden is trying a "wrap around pass" to Gerald Green at the 3pt line, but Draymond's SHOVE with his left arm puts him on the ground before he can even make the pass.
thx, i didn't even notice that before because his arm got camouflaged by the crowd behind. him putting his arm up probably means he was actually hoping they wouldn't review the play for a flagrant. and they ended up just looking the other way instead lol. but DaDa said there was no foul, nothing to see here!
They were also packing the paint and bringing weakside help on Harden. Creating enough congestion that even the short lob to Capela would have been hard (or disrupted which they did a few times). If he weren’t already so committed to the drive there were, in fact, open shooters at that point in time which he opted not to pass to. Someone is open though
I didn't notice the arm up either initially, tbh. I was focusing on the FOUL. But yeah, Draymond was going to take credit for the foul hoping it wouldn't be reviewed because it was a shove and not really a play on the ball. Beyond comical. I am not surprised DaDakota can't comprehend that play.
Are we sure that "0" stat is right? I seem to remember Harden getting fouled on an and-1 at the basket exactly one time.... I could be wrong though, because most of my memories of that game are fantasies of driving my car over Ken Mauer.
Agreed. Thinking of it "literally by the numbers difference" is mind-begging ignorant to the momentum shift that was occurring while the game was close. The final score was in no way indicative of most of the game.
