Anderson needs to speak up and say damn it I want to play! Needs to show some pride in his game for himself and team. This is the best shot he has to make it to the finals. I can't believe he will let it go and not contribute something, instead of having his head in cloud of doubt.
Pro athletes drop off dramatically all of the time. One day Francis is an all star, the next he can barely crack a roster. Nick Anderson went from a good career FT shooter to terrible in the course of 1quarter. It's like Codman mentioned months ago, Nene said Ryno is defeated.
No his ass needs to be sure he's on the trip and massaging Chris' hammy at every f*cking waking moment he not cheerleading from the pine for us.
Minutes are earned dude, it's not dependent on your paycheck. Anderson doesn't play because he causes his team to lose, pure and simple. Not only is he a defensive liability, he is also a mental midget and scared to shoot...why should this guy get PT then? If your job is on the line like MDA I bet you wouldn't play Anderson too.
LOL everybody faces pressure, as a grown ass man and a professional NBA player he should just deal with it. Plus which has more pressure, him taking open shots or Harden facing the entire enemy defense? I mean it's ridiculous being open is supposed to make him feel pressured WTF! Would he face less pressure if the enemy guarded him every single second? This as least pressured as it can get.
Kind of reminds me of David Lee from the Warriors a few years back. Had a high salary and got benched for Draymond. Im pretty sure the Warriors will iso Anderson every single time he's in the game and thats the main reason he's not seeing minutes. It's a different NBA you can't really hide guys on defense anymore.
I think it's all mental and he just want to avoid bricks. If the coach gives him the green lights to shoot he would be able to make some. At this point the whole team is a little bit hesitant to shoot (except maybe Green). If there's a game in the series that we want the shooters let it fly this is it. I would rather see Ryno, Green, Ariza shooting like 2-8 then seeing ISO all night.
If you re read my post I already answered most of your questions about being open/not open and players with the right stuff and without. Like I said I'm not saying he dosen't suck, just reasons why he sucks. No facts, just a theory..
I think not getting him re-integrated will ultimately f*ck us this series. He had the best plus minus of the starting 5 in that game we won opening night. He hits bombs there. I think we are a long shot this game so I say gave him a chance. Iggy is out again so when West is In put him in and tell him shoot shots when you touch it. The space could help Harden not disappear like a wallflower
One key factor here is the Rockets singular focus on using the "switch everything" defense to stop the Warriors. So, we end up eliminating all but the switchable players, no matter what they bring on offense. Ryan Anderson probably is still the same player as he was for the most part, it's just that the team and the league changed fast.
