I stopped reading at ‘as a democrat’. That’s really funny. The next democrat presidential candidate or senate candidate I vote for will be the first democrat presidential candidate or senate candidate I vote for in my 40 plus years of voting.

    Edit

And I haven’t missed any elections in that time

Fair enough, I apologize if I mislabeled you. Happens to me all the time too so I know how annoying it can be.

The ratings even with the protests were fine last year. The NFL made money. Also, applying trickle-down economics to the NFL probably isn't a wise move on your part. The players only end up really getting more money when the Player's Union takes action. The Union wasn't consulted for this idiotic Political Correct Policy.

There's no such thing as disrespecting the past. Respect is for entities that can appreciate it. What you mean is: disrespecting you.

So respect for the dead isn't a thing? This idea isn't working

It's not. What you're asking for is respect for your views about the dead. There are millions of people who eat the dead for thousands of years now.

EDIT: even in your belief system, you are not respecting the dead, you're just respecting what you call god. Your god apparently must appreciate it for you to do it.

Just because things are okay now doesn't mean they will always be.

The bottom line regardless of the national anthem, police shootings have zero to do with football.

Lastly before NFL players want to protest police actions, their league has had MURDERERS

Not denying any of that. I think the love Ray Lewis continues to get is hypocrisy at its finest. At best, he abetted a felon. At worst, he actually participated.

I just find it odd that unless it’s Denny Green having Cunningham take a knee, any other taking a knee should not impact someone’s enjoyment of the game.

I don't think you fully thought that out. You can show disrespect to anything, even inanimate objects and certainly to people who have died.

You need to research what 'at will' work state means.

Well, you should have. It sounds like a personal shortcoming that you should work on.

On a similar note, what does nationalism have to do with football?

No you cannot. You cannot show respect to inanimate objects unless you believe they're conscious.

Also, you certainly cannot respect the past. I'm sure you tried to find a definition that stretches it in, but it doesn't. There's no such thing as respecting the past. You either want people to respect your view or some view that was held in the past.

Instead of arguing about this technical point which rendered one of your posts meaningless, try to think about whether you have just become so conservative minded that you expect people to respect THE ****ING PAST.
