    What up everyone,

    Much love to everyone in the bbs.

    I never post but this turn of events has got me thinking back and that helped me change my perspective on this whole situation for the better.

    So all this made me wonder.....

    My parents were fans before me so I was born into this from the first championship run (game 7 w/NY, the kiss of death).

    From that fact and logic, I classify as a 2ND GENERATION fan in my eyes.



    Doesn't matter if you're from Houston (I am) but it's all about the love, the passion and the following.





    What generation are you guys??????

    I was born in Edmonton, Alberta and from the start I was a Rockets fan. I loved Francis & Mobley when I was a little guy. It was only coincidence that my father happened to land a job in Houston when I was 5 or 6. Not born Houston but raised Houston.

    I even have old very small T-Shirts that were bought from the Summit that I used to wear before I had even been to Houston. Parents picked them up at thrift stores lmao

    1st generation, introduced my dad to the Rockets in the early 90's. Had followed them peripherally in the 80's but was too young to really understand any of it without someone to show me the way. Learned the game myself and never looked back.

    I've been a fan of the Rockets since they drafted Elvin Hayes #1. Elvin went on to become Rookie of the Year, which didn't surprise me at all. Whatever "generation" that amounts to, that's me.

    My grandpappy was a fan. He was also an English Professor at UH and had Hakeem in his class. 'A nice young man, but not a great English student'.
