    @jogo good post

    I could never stand Kerr as a player, either.

    Honestly, I thought the 14-15 (and even to some extent the 15-16) Warriors were difficult to truly hate. I mean, I envied and resented their dominance (and the obnoxious swagger that came with it), but it's hard to object to the way they built the team.

    The Steph/Klay/Draymond/Barnes/Iguodala core was constructed through smart drafting, player development, and judicious contract work, and it is a testament to Jerry West's abilities as a GM. He drafted Green and Thompson, acquired Iguodala, and (maybe most importantly) stuck with Steph through injury woes when lesser GMs may have hit the abort button. He also had the stones to fire the coach who led them to their first 50-win season in a decade.

    That being said, the signing of KD completely re-wrote the narrative and re-frames this entire era of Warriors basketball. And NONE of this is meant to absolve the team's insufferable, bandwagon, thumbsucking fan base.

    EDIT: Also, always hated Draymond. He's the worst.

    Don't forget that the Rockets are down another major player because Ryan Anderson apparently got PTSD and is afraid to shoot or something, so the Rockets are thinner still. The Warriors still get to take the floor with four all-stars and everyone rushes to make excuses for them because someone got a booboo. I think it was Wilt Chamberlain who complained "no one roots for Goliath" but I guess he didn't foresee this era in which people treat the underdogs as the villains. It irritates me when I hear the Warriors arena play the Rocky theme for them - that's a corruption.

    I don't hate anybody. Too old for that ish. Draymond's dirty, but I've seen that umpteen times before. Curry's cocky, but so would I be. Durant's soft for going there at all, but feel more sorry for him than anything because he could be Lebron if he just had a different attitude. But, I find I don't have to hate a team to really, really enjoy beating them.

    What watching them over a series has really impressed upon me is why isn't Golden State better than they are? You can really see the law of diminishing returns with adding more superstars. We use the hell out of James Harden. He's over half our offense all by himself. We're using everything that Chris Paul has got too. But, when Curry was hitting those daggers in the 3rd, I wondered why they haven't had him doing that all game long. But mostly I wonder, why aren't they dumping the ball down to Kevin Durant on every possession. He should be scoring 40+ every game. He's got size, range, handles and mobility over any defender we can throw at him. They don't use him half as much as they should. Media talks a lot of crap about Houston's iso ball. But Houston's system is squeezing a ton of production out of our very best guys. The Warriors best guys lay fallow half the time.

    My wife is a casual fan who loves the Rockets, but doesn't give much thought to any other team. But even @MRS_KILLATRON2000 hates the Warriors (and Jazz; she is a real Houston fan after all). She is especially disgusted by Steph and his mouthpiece antics. I am so proud of her. Go Rockets!

    Have To admit i was kind of jealous of their team. Eversince they upset the nuggets in the first round and then acquire steve kerr everything just went right for them. I was like how the hell they just easily clicked like that while houston had to flip players constantly to find the right fit for Harden. And i cant take curry's constant chewing of his mouthpiece. Grosses me out. and Kerr? I dont trust him, seems fake. then they land durant that agitated me so much that i did not even care to watch the finals.

    Yeah, my wife probably hates Curry even more than I do. If she was a scanner, his head would have exploded at least a dozen times in this series by now.

    I really dislike them as well. The whole "underdog" narrative they were pumping out with curry and klay really rubbed me the wrong way. like bro they are rich kids who have had everything available to them since birth. Credit to them on the work theyve put in but they are far from underdogs.

    Anybody else getting tired of watching Capela go straight up for rebounds only to have Green jump three feet backwards into Clint and then Clint gets called for over the back? And also how the Warriors, often Curry, grabs and holds down on Tucker's off arm on rebound attempts. Still got 16 last game. If they are really so much more talented than everyone else (hype), then why the need to cheat and flop?
