Mike D'Antoni's adjustment - deleting Luc Mbah a Moute

It really sucks that Luc is obviously limited by his shoulder, as today having him out there is basically like playing Roberson (even though Luc can still drive...if he doesn't step out of bounds )

Btw i always hated MDA short rotations but as today, i don't blame him, Anderson would get killed by the Warriors, and at home he can't even score to save his life, Nene just can't stay on the court in these kind of games anymore, same for Joe...Luc is the guy we're really missing, i wonder if it's a head thing or he's really not feeling right with his shoulder...

 

ryno should get some burn if he can shoot it.

 

Love that MDA is trimming the roster rotation. Got to have the guys out there who have the balls and heart to compete.

 

man if luc were healthy we'd be so good right now. MDA was right to tighten up the rotation. i expect the same rotation and minutes for the rest of the series. the warriors are doing the same thing.

if iggy comes back early because they need him, that works in our favor. look at how luc was playing when he wasn't 100%. i'm ok if they want to give iggy a bunch of minutes when he's not right. it will hurt more than help.

 

This was an obvious adjustment. He's a step slow and too tentative. Bench him the rest of the way.

This is all I'm saying! There could probably be an argument if GG was giving 10 points.. but GG is more of a liability on defense than an asset on Offense.

I will say that GG's lack of conscience is needed.. There was a time when he hoisted that no one seemed to want to shoot. He made one.. That one he made was pretty important, lol.. Rockets win by 3.

But every player on the floor is giving 200%, you can't really have Luc out there giving 70% becuase of his shoulder

Van Gundy made a comment the other day about how coaching adjustments game to game are vastly misunderstood. It all really just comes down to playing some guys more and other guys less. And here you have it. Luc out, more of Harden and Paul. Victory.

I agree that a 7 man rotation is likely unsustainable if we want to win. If somehow this goes 7 games I dread what that may look like if we don’t deepen the bench. Going to need something.

The problem is, right now, Luc's 3s are a wasted possession.

yup. he would keep 1 defender way behind the 3pt line. capela keeps dray out of the paint for fear of the lob. the regular season rockets seem like last year already!
