Less than great. Here I am, author of “I love James Harden. Full stop.” You’ve got to be better than that James
Problem is, you can't really put him in the post defending in the series, no real player there to put him on
This also doesn’t put in the fact that golden state has great help defense and guys at the rim for when curry gets burnt
Hmmm, I wonder what those statistics were before last night...I bet Harden was better before last night. That is the problem with throwing stats out "willy-nilly" without controls. This stat should only be computed at the end of the series...you cannot have "open stats" to be actual and accurate. Wow what ESPN will do to campaign for their favorite team/player. ESPN=MANIPULATORS OF THE FACTS.
Those stats don't tell anything close to a full story. It's like an opening, unedited, run on sentence to introduce a story that doesn't have an ending.
What this tells me is that the Warriors are well prepared for the Rockets to go at Curry. The Rockets seem less well-prepared to handle constant attacks on James. Need to flip that around in a hurry.
I'm watching the Eastern Finals, and Jeff Van Gundy just stated that the media praises Curry when he does well, and overlooks when he doesn't. He said he wishes Harden could receive the same, but Harden doesn't.
Let's just bear in mind who Harden's been isolated on. Some shots KD and Curry hit were actually well defended by Harden and they still hit them. It's the stagnate, reach around defense that's frustrating. Not to mention pressing up on Livingston at the three point line...like, why? Hopefully his focus is better for Game 4.
LOL...I was going to say, "Harden's defense has been CL like, CURRY LIKE" and then I saw Curry has actually been doing well. Probably has more to do with CP3 and Harden missing easy layoff then Curry's D though
LOL. Exactly. It's the ole reach around and standing around, not moving his feet that piss people off. And like you said, why even bother guarding Livingston if it's not anywhere inside? He's a midrange guy and is a ZERO threat outside. If he wants to take the outside shot, you just won that defensive battle.
