He had a great game but my comment is talking about a long period of time, not one game.

They are consistently inconsistent. Let's hope the "they don't lose back to back games" continues....

Not sure about that last sentence. The Rockets scrubs have been pretty good at letting leads evaporate all season long in garbage time based on my recollection. When you say our scrubs "let them leave with a 22 point loss", I would say you are crediting them with being in control of the final score and ability to run it up. I think the difference is Golden State has better scrubs. In the end, it doesn't really matter.

A lot should be made of a 41 point loss regardless of how it was arrived at. It may be no different than losing by 1 point as a loss is a loss. But, to me, there is a difference in that one way you thoroughly got an ass whooping and were non-competitive. Did Golden State also get an ass whooping in game 2? Why...yes...yes they did. So, your point is...at the end of the day...taken. But, Golden State was more in that game along the way than the Rockets were in this game along the way.

There's no excuse for a game like last night. Completely embarrassing.

The last time I'll ever claim first on a game thread.

Either way, I feel like no PNR and all Iso is literally tiring Cp and Harden, I have no problem with the play itself but....I mean they shoudnt have to work so hard every play to get buckets, thats a recipe for disaster.

I had nightmares last night about this beatdown. My god. 41 points and the team faltered in the 2nd half. Even the scrubs couldn't hold on to the ball. Horrible.

agreed that GS scrubs are superior to ours. but in the grand scheme that doesn't really mean much so i'm so happy for them

and my point has been that HOU was just going thru the motions this game after getting down 20 because of marc davis making this essentially a scheduled loss anyways. i had previously posted that HOU should have been up 40 in game 2 if not for mauer and malloy aiding GS (eg. the 7pt swing in the final minutes of Q2 that game when our lead shrunk from 19 to 12)

we've gotten foster brothers, mauer malloy, and marc davis all in sequence. unless foster brothers is re-sent for game 4, i expect it to be a close game with a good chance for us to win

Bottom line: The Rockets were in this game. But the "margins for error" are very thin on the Rockets side (compared to GSW). Rockets were in big trouble when they missed all of those layups. They can't recover from that. Rockets got a B game from Harden and a C game from Paul. Not good enough. No tertiary scorer either. At minimum going to need B+ games at least from 3 to 4 players.

The big thing that separates the Rockets from GSW is KD. You replace KD with Harrison Barnes and the Rockets are leading this series 3-0. KD has buoyed the Warriors scoring in a lot of rough patches.

Rockets can't lose the rebound battle to GSW.

Rockets can't have more turnovers than GSW.

    Thin margins of error.

Speaking of margins for error, not having "healthy Luc" is really a bummer.

Honestly can someone tell me what adjustments were made by GS, still no has said anything here except for effort. I get that I really do...I really really do. But...it really just seems like Harden and CP just couldnt beat their man as well as they did in Game 2. Our offense was a complete disaster.

Ryan Anderson "hesitant" to shoot the ball in garbage minutes of a 40pt loss is PEAK Anderson.

I can't wait until he is traded in the offseason.

If Phoenix takes ayton I offer Ryan for Tyson straight up and see if they bite. Rumor is they feel this next piece is their core and will want to be competitive next year.

The Rockets have been pretty resilient throughout most of the Harden era, to the point that it was really weird and concerning when the team lost 5 in a row earlier this year. The problem is that the one team that seems to be immune to this quality is the Warriors in the playoffs...

Woke up this morning feeling like crap because of the Rockets. Seriously I can’t get over the fact that they lost by 40.

No way man - you keep doing what you do - be aggressive, be first, be you and we'll live with the consequences.
