Rockets were one of nine teams to interview him but the only one without a lottery pick. I know they love to do their homework on the draft as if they pick in every spot, but seems like it would be difficult for a team with only a mid second round pick to get an interview with a lottery candidate.
I love Michael Porter and if he falls outside the top 5 or 6, some team will get a steal. Best offensive player in the draft. I will flip if the Rockets trade up to draft him.
I was just thinking today about how underrated MP is. He definitely needs to be a top 3 pick. I like the Rockets always just being ready.
Based on what production? Kid barely even played. Especially during the tournament. At least Micheal Porter has elite tools.
Micheal porter jr you would have to give up a 1 and two good player to get him also you would have to swing a trade with someone in the first round that is looking to give up a pick right at 5 or 6 if he falls that far to 6 i say go for the trade to get him if you like him as for the second round picks devontae graham malik newman
What if the Rockets did the rumored trade with Atlanta for those 2 picks and Plumlee? Then used those picks to move up for Porter.
Michael Porter is a bust waiting to happen. He's not the most competitive kid when he's challenged. He'll be drafted high because of his talent, but I think he's Jonathan Bender and not Kevin Durant.
Dude that rumor is not real, come on, how can you expect a team like Atlanta which is literally starting a full rebuild to give up a 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder just to switch Plumlee (13M) for Anderson (20M), makes literally no sense. And even in a dream scenario where that actually happens, a late 1st and a 2nd (even if it's a good one) is not enough for to move into the top 5 for us, unless we trade Capela.
Justin Jackson from Maryland was projected as mid-late first rounder in packed last years draft. Decided to stay for another year, then suffered season ending injury and now projected as late 2nd or undrafted in most mocks. Just watch how it turned around for Spencer Dinwiddie, same story.
Small risk, huge reward though. That's what teams are searching for with the late 2nd round picks in their pocket.
I have seen a bit of Kostas. He might be worth it if he is willing to work hard. Svi looks better than a mid 40's pick. I like the way he finishes around the basket.
Michael Porter Jr is a 6’11 scoring machine. He dominated on every level. He was aau teammates with Trae Young and he was definitely the best player for the 2-3yrs they played with MoKan. He went to Curry’s camp and damn near beat Steph. Curry and him text and have had a relationship sense he was a sophomore. His dad and mom both played college basketball, his dad is a coach. If he would've been healthy this year he would have average 25 points. Oh and him and Jayson Tatum are good friends and have always competed vs each other. Literally everyone in Missouri considered Porter Jr the better prospect as youths. Tatum more skilled, Porter relies on his athletism and ability to shoot over others. He’s really a 6’11 Gerald Green lol. I would take Porter Jr 1st overall if he’s 100%.
