LeBron after going down 0-2: "I'm going to go home and recalibrate. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it."

LeBron the day of Game 3: "I mean, I lose sleep. At the end of the day any time you lose a playoff game you lose sleep."

Attaboy... way to completely contradict yourself to make sure you have that excuse set up if you lose tonight.

    Ewing Theory

Surprised Bill Simmons isn't all over that as he loves Ewing Theory. I disagree because Hayward and Irving are so good but your trade is probably tempting to Kawhi.

Cavs should come out smoking tonight. Celts have to avoid falling too far behind. In game 2, Jaylen Brown carried them in the 1st quarter until they other guys got comfortable.

Celtics also need to avoid early foul trouble and not let the refs decide this game. Hopefully they let 'em play and the "maul and brawl" defense continues to take it's toll on the Cavs.

If he goes off again in the 1st quarter, LeBron won't tire as quickly as game 2. Celtics can't expect him to take as many plays off.

I've seen this same Boston squad come back form worse deficits. Cavs are crazy to think this is over. Last 5 minutes of the 4th is when Celtics deploy the shamans.

When JVG asks if Dwayne Wade is in the new Star Wars movie, we have reached peak get-me-out-of-here.

Hayward and Irving are so good? What exactly have those two done by themselves? Irving led Cavs to collecting top 4 picks prior to Lebron and while he was decent in Boston, part of that is the wizardry of their coach and you can argue Irving were holding Tatum and Brown back, at least the Cavs clowned them when they played with Irving. Hayward is like a poor man's version of Kawhi or a more well rounded Klay Thompson, take your pick between the two comparisons. Celtics would be better trading Hayward for a superstar to lead their core, their lotto pick, Hayward+Smart for Anthony Davis does New Orleans say no? Irving oth while worth a max contract is clearly a second tier superstar, is he even better than Jimmy Butler or Paul George? All he really does is score on ISO, but his ISO scoring is actually inferior to the best iso scorers like KD, Harden, Lebron and Curry. If Celts want to have a dynasty they can do it if they get rid of Irving and Hayward for a true superstar to lead Tatum and Brown and Horford.

There are very few players in the league that would be considered upgrades to Irving. Boston’s best move is to incorporate Irving, Hayward, Tatum, Brown, and Horford for a season and see what it looks like. That was always the plan.

Let’s say Paul George leaves and WB wants out. Is Irving for WB considered an upgrade for Boston?

Did anyone hear JVG saying he was regretful not being able to avoid the suicide of Eddie Griffin when he coached in Houston?
