They interviewed a student and they cut him off after he said he knew for sure "3 students had been shot"

Unfortunately, Emma Gonzalez was wrong and the Parkland survivors will not be the last children to to be survivors of a school shooting in America. Young lives destroyed today. Families shattered. Tonight in Texas a young child will get a tearful explanation from their mommy or daddy about why their older sibling isn't coming home from school today or any day in the future.
This sucks. And it sucks that all I can do is cross my fingers and hope my kids' school doesn't ever make the news. (We had a threat earlier in the year, but nothing happened.)
The Sheriff has confirmed "multiple fatalities" and a number of sources are reporting at least 8 at this time.
This is awful. But as others have said, if nothing was done after Sandy Hook, we can expect more of the same. Just pray it doesn't happen to your school. Not to be "that guy" but I know the band director at Santa Fe HS. Hope he's okay.
I'm sorry but this line of thinking is BS. I will never normalize horror like this nor make it seem trivial in any way. This is not normal. America has failed. We have failed.
Don't think he's normalizing it, he just knows that US politics and lobbyists are complete turds and apparently no situation, no matter how bad, will lead to change in gun policies. So yeah, if politics stay that way, most ppl can't do anything but hope they're not future victims.
