Season available on Netflix May 29 "This time the Bluths are all together. Whether they like it or not. " (obvious nod to season 4 where you never saw the family together due to production schedules) Season 5 Trailer is out today
Very cool. Seasons 1-3 are amazing. Couldn’t get into season 4 and didn’t finish it. The disjointed cast really hurt it. If they get back to being an ensemble it could be awesome. Wonder if I’ll have to grind through the previous season first though.
They've re-edited the 4th season so that each episode is no longer focused on a few people. The stories are more intertwined now, so hopefully they flow better.
Season 4 was disappointing hopefully this upcoming one recaptures the magic of 1-3. Is that Ron Howard narrating?
Season 4 started a bit bad but really picked it up later on. You guys should definitely re-watch it or try the newer version.
I just don’t think you can do this and it be great, after a show runs its course. I mean I’ll instantly watch it ofc, but expectations not high again. One of my favorite shows all time though. Thanks for the heads up
Started last night, the remix feels a lot closer to the original 3 seasons, looking forward to watching the rest of the remixed season 4.....

like almost all, I didnt like the season 4, it was awful, and soo weird, but season 1-3 are a classic, lets see what season 5 brings to the table. lets hope they dont use the same jokes all season, like they did in season 4.
They did the Rashomon-sequencing in season 4 in many ways because they knew a lot of people would binge watch, which would assist with the recall of some of the repeat jokes. They also had to do some of it because of the cast unavailability, and having to shoot scenes out of order/individually and splice them together later. The re-mixing of it was to make it slightly more how it could/would have been had it just been a network 22-episode standard season.... but as everyone agrees, there was just something off about it. Hopefully just having them together eliminates most of that "off-ness", and allows them to focus on the humor/plot. Season 4 had bad sequencing... but still had some memorable running gags and lines.
I finished watching the remix season 4 this weekend, it was much closer to season 1-3. Still a choppy season but I still found a lot to like.....
