Seems like more people didn't like Kenyon than CP3.

Same way about what? Saying your 50/50 but youre more toward eye test? Most players aren't as dumb as him

Here is a good article showing that there is no correlation between Assists and Team Shooting Percentage - https://www.sbnation.com/2013/4/10/4208428/nba-assists-shooting-knicks-heat-bulls

Here is another where they found NO correlation between ball / player movement, offensive rebounding or assist ratio and winning, but high correlation between winning and how well a team drives and kicks, converts close looks and how well you catch and shoot (particularly at distance) and a moderate correlation between turnover ratio and how often you get to the line.

    http://thebrooklyngame.com/nba-correlate-offensive-efficiency-winning/

Notice that the Rockets offense pretty much is built around drives and kicks, close in shots and long range catch & shoot along with limiting turnovers and getting to the line. It's obvious that Morey / D'A are working from the exact same playbook as described in the two articles above.

Ball movement is exciting. Player movement is exciting. Assists are exciting. None of that makes you win more.

Couldn’t agree more. This is Billy Madison only in real life...
Principal: Mr. Madison, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

only listen half, for those who didn't listen, here is my short summary, cp3 is too advanced as a person for kmart to understand and be comfortable with, kmart is about excitement, brotherhood, cp3 bring in winning basketball, a balanced view and business too

What I heard from this is that the team he played with CP3 on in LA had an Us vs them mentality with the players and the mgmt, and they felt that CP3 was basically part of the leadership on the floor so he couldn’t be trusted.

Man... sounds like the Clippers essentially had the most immature locker room in the NBA. I had teams like that I played on all my life.... until I got to high school and grew the F up.

That’s seriously little league (coach is picking on me and only playing his favorites) type of crap.

That's kind of mean. He may have been a bit nervous. He may be smart but doesn't express himself very well verbally.

He may have meant that in the "mixture" you are ok to have 50-50, but he leans to the eye test 60-40. But just didn't explain properly.

This. He was put on the spot. Was this is first time? If not he hasn't been interviewed like this often & he has a speech disorder. https://www.stutteringhelp.org/nba-star-kenyon-martin-press-release

People are attacking this man like he's done something to them personally. They wouldn't say these things to his face. And in response to another poster, I'm not a Kenyon Martin lover, I love people. This man isn't dumb. Anyone who would spend their time talking down on someone they don't know must be doing solu due to their own insecurities.

I dun know, man..... that sounds like Streetball, mostly 1 on 1 where passing does not matter at all, you just play to close by yourself.

    Or you play HORSE.

I know y'all detest Turnovers like hell, but it's part of the game. The Rox have the least amount of TOs but they still average more than 9 a playoff game..... it's not like they dun pass at all.

You take away CPaul alone, and those numbers rise..... Chris' minutes will decrease with age.

Now the hockey assist (Indirect assist/2nd assist numbers) is interesting, Houston is 2nd.
