First, I'm not predicting a sweep by the Warriors. In fact I expect the Rockets to win this series. But seeing Dwayne Casey get fired after having an amazing regular season but disappointing playoff loss, made me wonder about the fate of D'Antoni if the Rockets go out like the Raptors.

It's not that simple... the Raptors have been 0-10 against a Cavs and were swept this year by arguably the weakest Cavs team in the era of LBJ.

I highly doubt we get swept. And if by some chance we do, we’d get swept by the best team of all time.

How can you hate on D’Antoni for that?

In fact if we actually win this series, D’Antoni will cement his coaching legacy as one of the tops of all time.

If we go down fighting in every game, MDA will stay. If we fight hard in every game, I think the series could go down to Game 7, with the possibility of us winning over GSW.

But said LBJ, who some argue as being the best ever, is playing at a very high level. Every team in the east has lost to him SEVEN years in a row. 24 teams in the eastern conference have lost to his team. It's not just the Raptors.

Are you insinuating that if the games aren't close, he might be out?

Again... Raptors have been 0-10 against the Cavs. How many of those other teams were swept each time year after year? I can only think of one. Even Pacers did a much better job against Cavs than Raptors this year.

While you could argue that any coach could have led the Raptors to 1st in the East this season, you can't tell me that Milkhair or JBB would have gotten us 65 wins. No way.

The Rockets are who they are this year because of MDA. Even if we got swept (ain't no way in hell that's happening), you have to give him at LEAST another year.

Plus, two consecutive sweeps is what doomed Casey.

It'll be interesting to hear his speech next month when he accepts the COTY award.

No, no GM/Owner living in reality should expect their team to beat the Warriors as long as they have those top 4 guys in their prime.

Doubt it, but a sweep would be massively disappointing. If, after last year's disappointing Spurs series and and a Warriors sweep, the Rockets had a 3rd straight disappointing showing in the playoffs next season, I could see it, but not this year.

The possibility of that can't be ruled out, but I'm hopeful that this will be a tight series. Our guys have to fight, and believe in themselves.

Could not care less about D'Antoni's personal future right now.

LMAO... and who would we replace him with? He's perfect for Moreyball. Literally no one outside of Houston is predicting us to win, so why would he be fired for not being able to do the impossible?

Rockets and D'Antoni have nothing to lose and everything to gain in this series.

We are talking about a 73 win core who added KD... Quite easily the best team ever assembled... We have a nice team but not that... If we can beat them it would be the greatest upset of all time. They lost 1 play-off game last year... 2 this year but seemingly because of lack of interest.

Any team being able to beat them 4/7 would be incredible.

That being said, getting swept and getting clobbered in 4 games would be a bad look.

A serious question. What will Warriors do when they got eliminated by Rockets in 5 games? Will they try to get LeBron?o_O

I think a big reason he was fired was because this was supposed to be a win for the Raptors or at the worst a slug fest. They felt they finally got a team that can beat Lebron and make it to the finals. It was an embarrassment for the team and the city. Rockets feel the same way. This series has been hyped as a heavyweight fight and the country is watching to see the two best teams go at it. They dynasty vs the team built to break up the dynasty. If it doesn't come close to looking like that, there will be some embarrassment for the team as well. How will Tillman take that national embarrassment?
