I heard on the BS Podcast both Bill and his guest Mark Titus both white about Harden traveling and they both basically said they don't care what the rule book says lol. So I really don't understand what the basis of their complaint is if it's obviously a legal move. That's a clear sign of "hatin'."

The argument is bogus on so many levels. First they misrepresent what he is actually doing. Then they refuse to define what they think "travel" means. And finally they say that if the rule book says its not a travel, the rule book is clearly wrong.

Hard to take their objections seriously, honestly.

They wouldn't be objecting to it if Harden was missing every shot off a step back. They would be like, "Oh yeah James, keep doing that move of yours. Perfectly legit." The guy Bill is talking with is just depressed that he's stuck with John Wall in DC for another 4 years of mediocrity. He wishes Harden was on his team shooting stepbacks.

Lol it is not a travel. WHY do reporters think they know more than a trained referee? What's more alarming than the people that don't think it's a travel, is that anyone can write something, post it on the internet, call themselves a subject matter expert, and buy into that exact bullsh*t.

The Ringer the masters of the Rockets backhanded compliment. No props will be given without a passive aggressive jab behind it!

I think it is a travel... but the NBA allows players to travel. I have a problem with picking out one player and trying to make him the bad guy when everybody does

The Rockets style works because of the insane talents of the players running it, and that it is a style that fits them.

The Warriors style works because of the insane talents of the players running it, and that it is a style that fits them.

If lesser teams went all in on either style, it wouldn't obviously work.

Not sure that it has much to do with fun or not. Both styles are fun... because ultimately both styles, with they players running them, results in INSANE offense, and great modern defense. That's fun.

I agree that many players do travel, but this isn’t one of them at least by league definition. And like your last point, it’s not like other players can’t use the same move so reporters need to chill. They would flip their agenda if their player was benefiting from the same move.
