    Did anyone see that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed wants to brief the Senate on his thoughts re: Haspell's confirmation....

    I'm far more concerned about the Pompeo appointment. It makes sense to promote someone within the agency to director. It makes less sense to move someone from the CIA to State -- two agencies with competing philosophies.

    While I think she will be confirmed (and with a safe margin), and since it appears she has a good deal of support from within the CIA so I believe she should be confirmed, her one area of concern just came up in the confirmation hearing (prior to this she gave direct answers saying she would not do anything she thought was morally wrong, even if legal, and even if ordered by the president):



    Well, unfortunately, trump campaigned on the promise of bring back waterboarding and even worse...

    1) I don’t believe Charles that he didn’t hear the comment
    2) this isn’t the first time this smear has been used against McCain
    3) letting that go in air and apologizing later is good propaganda technique. It’s out there now. Mission accomplished
