It was very damning to me the other day when he said Houston gets no easy shots, while GS gets tons (and then proceeds to show Durant taking a contested midrange jumper over Anthony Davis). He (and Chuck for that matter) is completely out of his depth talking about this Rockets team. If he doesn't think a Harden ISO on a big is an easy shot, I don't know what he's watching. Based on the things he says on TV, it's clear he belongs on that stage, and nowhere near an NBA locker room.

Kenny has just shown that he's devolved into a clown that hasn't watched the Rockets much at all this season. All season the Rockets have changed their style, slowing down the pace while still maintaining high scoring numbers. I'd even argue that they're a defense-first team now. Charles saying that it's impossible for Paul and Harden to play well offensively at the same time as they try to slow down Klay and Curry works both ways as well. Why don't Klay and Curry suffer the same problem trying to slow down James and Chris? And then to say the regular season results don't matter because the Rockets went 2-1? Ridiculous. I can guarantee that if that scoreline was flipped they would say that the Rockets won't get close to Golden State because they didn't in the regular season. Seems they are still desperately clinging to the narrative that Harden and Paul are playoff chokers, no matter what round they get to. It is weird how there is this narrative emerging that the Rockets will be a failure if they don't beat the so-called greatest team ever assembled and advance to the finals. It's got to be one or the other. GTFOH TNT, you are rubbish.
Ha I noticed this as well - was so happy Ernie or anyone for that matter actually said something intelligent when he brought up the turnovers. Kenny also said something along the lines of we need to try something different because the way we play won’t beat GS - he named “slowing down the pace” as a possibility. Kenny...we were 24th in pace after the ASB. We aren’t the same Rockets as the previous two years. Newsflash! We play defense and limit turnovers now.

Its not weird its its true. I've noticed it as well.. 1st they didn't expect this team to perform this well. They **** on us all year, backhanded compliments or not talking about us at all during certain points when we where doin great. If we lose this series this will be an out for them to **** on houston more because they deem our yr a failure. Hence why D'antoni said what he said about this season.... all sports media have a hatred bias toward houston no matter what we do or accomplish. This dumbass assumes I listen to rap just because I know an embarrassing amount about basketball compared to him! You’ll be disappointed to hear that I mostly listen to music from well before my time. Pearl Jam, Incubus, Zeppelin, Audioslave. But please, continue with your nonsense. P.S. I also have a job. Kenny is really defensive about his championship team. Anytime a Rockets team would get compared to that team, he would go all up in arms trying to put the Rockets team down. Kenny is loyal to that 90's team specifically, he is not loyal to the Rockets franchise as a whole.
i appreciate kenny for being part of clutch city, but the kid is a new york loyalist. i hope he never lands any job in new york. i don't see how any management would hire this dumb kid if you listen to him open his mouth on tnt and makes a fool out of himself time and time again. kenny is dead to me as a rocket.
Honestly it feels like Kenny doesn’t want another Houston team besides his Houston teams to have a championship. It’s his claim to NBA fame, riding the coattails of the best Center to play this game has inflated his ego to the point where he doesn’t want another Rockets team to diminish his “shine”
