All of those who keep on saying that we have no chance against the Warriors forget we not only have a better season record we have a better head to head record including the win in Oakland on opening night..

2-0 in games Harden played. Also won in GS last season with healthy rosters

Regular season is meaningless. Playoff basketball is totally different.

We have HCA too. We're not going to get crushed. I'm not going to say we'll beat them, but we have a shot at it. It's going to be a hell of a series one way or the other.

while I absolutely agree with you that we have a 50/50 shot, I wouldn't really take much from the regular season head to head matchups.

I mean OKC was 2-1 vs us and TOR was 2-0 against us lol

Opening day was like 3 years ago. Playoffs are a different game.

it's not meaningless and it's not totally different, that's why we have this concept of playoff atmosphere regular season games. if you don't think the warriors were trying to win, you've probably never competed in anything in your life

Both wins included a last minute KD buzzer beater to win and a nasty stepback on Curry to ice the other.

They were both hard fought, and dubs shot well during our series.

They may have a playoff effect, but it isn’t an insurmountable difference in performance vs what we saw.

I don't want to say anything on percentages because I just don't know what's going to happen. If they play like they did at the beginning of the season and most of the regular season we definitely have more than just a shot.

I'm just not sure if we're playing well enough right now to beat the Warriors, they're ridiculously stacked. **** it Rockets in 7, LEGGO.

dubs outshot us from three both games. we won the turnover battle both games. could see those trends continuing. if we catch fire from three, GS better watch out

Agreed. Playoffs are a completely different animal. The team has to be on to beat the Warriors.

    I believe.

Only care about coming out of this series with 4 wins.

2-1 (regular season) or [?]-and-whatever (whatever their record is vs GS since Kerr took over) or whatever other record(s), don't really care.

I love this statement. I wrote a long post awhile back on why this old cliche falls apart when you look at it.

Rockets won 79% of their games in the regular season.

They have won 80% of their games in the playoffs.

Rockets offensive rating in regular season 114. In playoffs: 112

Rockets D rating regular season: 106 In playoffs: 103

Playoff basketball = regular season basketball, but without tanking teams, so it's harder, on average, to win....for everyone.

    That's it really.

    Wrong.

It's the same game. The exact same game, which is why teams that excel in the regular season statistically tend to win in the playoffs.

For every exception you can tout, like the Raptors pathetic collapse, there are dozens of rules that make those exceptions.

They were 1-2 against the Cavs, though. :)

    Playoffs are a different animal.

A Rockets fan of all should know that.

    Remember 95.

Or maybe we can ask Raptors about it lulz...

We will win at most 2 games, most likely one game against the Warriors. Too lazy to list all the reason today. Maybe tomorrow. Of course, injuries changes all that.

Not that we are a bad team. A very good team. If it weren't for Warriors we would be favourites to win. It's just that that coward Durant destroyed the league by joining an already loaded team.

I used to root for that guy but that cowardly act totally turned me off. Despise him now.

Great players win on their own account, not piggyback an already 70+ win that had already won and were favs to win even without him.

What made it more embarrassing is that right before joining them, he choked against the very same team that he could have beat.

Remember OKC swept Utah in the regular season

Also EG went off on the warriors, we might have a chance if we turn back in time and find that Gordon

KD is the difference. Rockets have no answer for him. Eric gordon would have to have a huge series but he has been pretty bad all year. Hoping for a win but its a longshot.
