ClutchFans Game Thread: Jazz @ Rockets 5/8/2018 (Playoffs Round 2, Game 5)

So far, quite disappointed with the effort, other than PJ.

I am as big a supporter of Harden as anyone, but from the eye test, he tends to have too many bad games in the playoffs, relative to other super star level players. Admittedly the data may not back up what I just said, but man I can't help but to think such a thing watching this game...

Also can someone clamp down this firkin Mitchell kid. He's been ineffective the entire series, can't let him go off now and gain confidence...

 

This crowd remembers game 6.. I'm telling you they are nervous.. We are all nervous..

 

AGain MDA watches another run without calling a timeout. It happens a lot

 

Harden playing uninspired in another elimination game. This is unacceptable

 

Why did they play so hard for home court? They don’t even need it always playing worse at home

Mitchell wasn't getting sht with Capela in there. Nene checks in and he was like BBQ chicken!. SMH. Nene just doesn't have it anymore.

 

It's comedic how Chris leaves in the 1st quarter and the Rockets give up a 8-0 run. Chris leaves in the 3rd quarter and Rockets give up a 12-0 run. Harden has no idea what he's doing out there.

 

If Chris is on and harden is off, I don’t understand why D’Antoni doesn’t sub Harden out mid 3rd the way he would normally do with Paul. Switch the rest minutes depending on who is feeling it

Who was the idiot that went funeral black out for this game? Jinx of all jinx. Fire that dude.

 

Also over a course of a 7 game series this Team's offense gets unsfufferably predictable because everyone just stands around.

 

DeMar has an excuse. Dude's playing against the best player of the generation. Harden is getting blown by time and time again by a rookie.

 

This is his first really bad game all playoffs long.

 

Harden just mentally weak.

 

Good idea, except this game is at Toyota Center.

 

Need them strong in the 4th. Plus don’t want CC to pick up his 4th foul.

 

Harden obviously feeling Gobert’s presence at the rim. Needs to start pulling up a la CP3 or floating it in.

Impressive how Gobert has stopped layups while simultaneously limiting the lobs to Capela. No one else has been able to do that to us.

 

9/10ths of the board already hates me for the Trade Harden thread. Only reason why I made that thread was cause of garbage play like today and second half of game 4. Plays like Tarzan in the regular season. Becomes Jane in the most critical playoff times.
