Not playing with the energy of a champion. James Harden can struggle shooting, but his effort should not waiver at this point in the season, period. No excuses.

 

teams have figured out the scouting report on the Rockets: if you want to beat us, then just hit Harden in the head.

Since game 2, Harden has shot 6/29 from deep. I truly hope he shoots better than this against GS or we don't stand a chance.

 

I don’t think the Rockets are screwin around. Shots just weren’t falling early. Shots started falling late and you saw them zoom out to an 8 point lead. I expect a bloodbath in the second half.

 

Chuck: I was disappointed with the Rockets. They didn't come out with a sense of urgency & played strictly at Utah's pace. When you got a team down, let's come out with great energy, get our crowd in the game so we can have a week off & get ready for the Warriors. You know the Warriors are gonna win tonight & get the series over. I don't like the Rockets energy. If the Rockets come out & jump on them, it'll be over quick & painless.

Chuck: Rockets gotta quit screwing around. Harden & Paul, when they get that switch, they think they're playing for the Globetrotters. They're out there taking it between their legs. That won't work the next round. Warriors won't let them play like that. You're never gonna slow the Warriors down. You have to think about the big picture and I think sometimes the Rockets don't think like that.

 

A lot of silly armchair psychology going on regarding Harden. The truth is, Harden struggles like this because it always either 1.drive to the rim 2. or shoot threes. Do people know how predictable that is and easy to defend, especially for a team like Utah? Where is pull-up or fadeaways from midrange? I know those are not particularly efficient shots, but damn some times you gotta mix it up. LeBron does that, KD, AD, Curry all do that. Harden needs to diversify his offense, period.
