Why should anyone be concerned with a criminal as a campaign manager?

yep, no reason to talk to police, useful exculpatory information/answers can be provided in written form through attorneys

Professor Barnett explains in this clip why you should only provide information through council.

Does it bother you that President Trump has surrounded himself with sleeze balls?
Why should Mueller possibly agree to written responses en lieu of testimony? So the President can have his attorneys craft his answers for him? We have depositions where the person being investigated answers questions for that precise reason.

I love that these folks are going all Admiral Akbar with American law enforcement now.

Yeah, Admiral, if you constantly lie, and/or if you committed a crime, indeed... it is a trap!

Where was the perjury trap when Hillary was sitting for 8 hours in front of Benghazi hearings?

I have to laugh at the idea that anyone would have to trap the biggest liar of our time into perjury.

I don't know what's sadder: that nobody has confidence in the president's ability to sit down and tell the truth for an hour or that people like @Commodore relish his near-constant deceit.

Written responses are probably more helpful than Trump simply pleading the 5th. But, that's not how testimony usually goes. We wouldn't let Joe Citizen submit written answers. Why should we make allowances for public servants?

This is why comrade commodore and other trump supporters are so afraid of trump testifying...

Joe Citizen couldn't submit written responses... but trump is above the law, so lets accommodate his inability to tell the truth, or even the same lie.

Can you expound? Or link me to something? I'm not aware of situations where investigators settle for written answers when what they want is an interview. Maybe it's my ignorance.

An investigator can't make you do an interviewer without some kind of warrant or a supena (which the president can ignore). Mueller doesn't have the power to just demand whoever he wants answer his questions. Also when most people talk to investigators, its through a lawyer.

Because it was either that or nothing. Mueller picked nothing.

    Cool, fair enough.

Maybe he feels that take home testimony that the president's lawyers get to spend weeks crafting answers to is useless.
