The answer is in your question.

It hinges upon the "perfectly legal behavior" part of your question.

@Commodore's thinking, with excuse after excuse, Hannity-like, for this POTUS is mind boggling. Somehow he now knows, despite a lifelong trail of contrary evidence and a mound of lawsuits, testimony, etc.... that 45 is on the straight and narrow. Sure. Really adds up. A lifelong con man suddenly exhibits a few years of "perfectly legal behavior."

Here's my question: where does someone like a BBS poster get off questioning a lifelong lawman, (to say nothing of a decorated veteran who truly fought for his country, and not behind a keyboard), like Mueller? Very offensive actually.

No POTUS is above the law, unless we want to transition into dictatorship. I feel some of you would gladly sign on.

I'm telling you, I don't think there would be much resistance from that quarter of the country anymore to a dictatorship as long as it was pro gun, anti immigrant and anti social justice issues. If Trump announced TOMORROW he was disbanding the FBI via executive order I don't think they'd push back. If he fired all US attorneys I don't think they push back.

It's disturbing. If enough people are willing to accept it, I worry it becomes more and more probable, because dictatorship is a way easier form of government than democracy, even a ****ed up democracy/oligarchy like ours. All we need is like a halfway smart version of Two Scoops. Sigh.

Just think about the inflamed rhetoric that has been used. Trump surrogates (was it Rudy?) have said Trump should use the DC police to raid the FBI. They've called for criminal charges against Rod Rosenstein lol. Basically full support for dictator like actions.

... and this is one big reason why nepotism is such a problem in the trump administration...

    How much do I know
    To talk out of turn
You might say that I’m young
    You might say I’m unlearned
But there’s one thing I know
    Though I’m younger than you
    Even Jesus would never
    Forgive what you do

Let me ask you one question
    Is your money that good
    Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could
    I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
    All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul

Rudy, during his time as the AG for the So District of NY have wired tapped, supervised the RBI raids, etc. many a times.

now he is calling the FBI, who had legally executed a search of Cohen's office& residence, as Storm Troopers, a la the Nazi

    what a f**king baffoon !

Can't find the story now and I don't think it was Rudy. Some Trump surrogate said Trump should use the US Marshalls to raid the FBI headquarters and seize all of the evidence they are holding.

    Found it.

Tom Fitton (head of Judicial Watch) said Trump should order the US Marshalls to raid the FBI and seize all of the evidence.
Lou Dobbs said the US Marshalls should raid the FBI, sequester all evidence and arrest any one in leadership
Sean Hannity called for US Marshall to arrest the leadership of the FBI and Justice Department

It's like he hung a big ol' porkchop around her neck. Anyone think Mueller would ever fear crossing a red line?

Well, you see, we live in a democratic republic. In this system, we have some officials who are elected, and they can appoint people to certain offices to execute part of that elected official's mandate. Mueller is such an appointee, and he derives his power from the President. Since we don't run a straight democracy but rather a democratic republic with a hybrid system of determining officials, the elected officials are no more legitimate than the appointed ones. They are all public servants and there are mechanisms for naming and for removing any of them. Does that help you understand?

    Banana Republicans.

I'd like to say "that's unbelievable!", but I'm actually not surprised at all.

What? The US Marshals report to... Jeff Sessions, Attorney General at the DOJ. He's supposed to order the Marshals to come and arrest himself?

Btw, there is only one 'l'.

I've said it before, but can you imagine being @Commodore and wanting to carry this much water for Donald Trump? He's a daily embarrassment to "conservatism" and the country, but somehow he's worth anchoring all of the GOP's fortunes.
