As a team we have a major tendency to come out slow after a big win. On the other hand we come out with FIRE after a rough loss. If we had won a close game tonight we would have brought the same half-ass energy to Utah, and they would have pounced on us in their very loud home court. Would have been disastrous. After game 3 last round we got a chip on our shoulder which we kept throughout that series. I think we will now come to Utah with eye of the tiger intensity, which we should carry throughout the rest of the series. Go Rockets!
We didn't need to lose to realize we are human, but I also didn't expect a sweep. We will take care of business.
I feel you, but it's the playoffs. The Jazz aren't just gonna lay down and let us beat them up. They shot their minds out. That won't happen again.
We came out with such low energy the Jazz sensed it and pounced. Gave them confidence and that's why they kept hitting shots. Gotta stomp on their throats right out the gates. That 'turn it on in 2nd half' sh*t doesn't work in the playoffs.
I agree...the Rockets are a lot like those old DBZ villains? They start fighting...get bored...then suddenly "This is not even close to my true power level..." take it up a notch. I guess the Twolves were Krillin, gave us a good punch before we smacked them down. The Jazz are Piccolo. They will scare us for a good moment or two, even go to their next level, but in the end we are always a level above them, but they are just not enough...
Wasn't Piccolo reincarnated like 3 times? That dude grows back limbs and sh-t too. If we are Goku in this scenario, didn't Piccolo kill us once with a special beam cannon attack.? Your metaphor made me more anxious..
Classic fan, every loss is a "blessing in disguise" or the ever-popular "wake up call" lol. Teams loose. Stop with this.
There is no blessing in disguise with the larger goal in mind. Given appropriate effort, Rockets should win this series because of the talent. However, what they should have been doing is wrapping this series up ASAP. The Warriors will finish theirs quickly and then will be waiting for the Rockets team. The longer Rockets stretch this series, the more they risk injuries and losing the first game against the Warriors. That is if they stop goofing around and get past the Jazz. I doubt Warriors are looking for hidden blessings. They have one objective. To crush the Rockets, not just beat them, and go on to win the title.
