ClutchFans Game Thread: Jazz @ Rockets 5/2/2018 (Playoffs Round 2, Game 2)

Rockets still on pace for around 120ish like normal. They usually get around 30 a quarter.

I dont see the jazz getting 36 every quarter

We start our offense with less than 10 seconds on the clock every possession

 

I have to give some credit to the Jazz. This offense is different from what they did in game 1. They have a game plan against our D and it's working so far.

 

This crowd is going end up losing us a game or two against GSW, just like they did in game 6 against the spurs last season.

Effort has gotta be there from the start of every playoff game. Rockets didn't have that to start this game.

 

That was pathetic. Gordon has turned into a lump of coal; he can't hit the side of a barn. Of course, Ryno is still bricking. What is with these guys?

 

No way this scrub team should score 36 in a quarter. This is totally on our defensive effort. Tons of layups and no one within ten feet of Ingles in the first quarter.

Capela and Moute playing well so far. Eric Gordon needs to stop channeling Luther Head.

Some big non calls on Hardens drives, which is going to affect his game.

Ingles/Crowder is going 6-8 FG 17 points. Gordon/Anderson going 0-3 FG 0 points.

If only Gordon/Anderson can do what Ingles/Crowder is doing.

some teams play down to their competition; other teams, like the rockets, play down to their home crowd.

Exactly. It's a weak minded attitude. Have to question the mindstate of this team coming into this game. You knew they would adjust.

 

ingles left wide open for three 3's... he wont be that open again and he will eventually go back to 45% so that's missing 3 more.

crowder hit 2 lucky 3's... he'll go back to 40% and miss at least 2 more.

15 points that they shouldn't have....

 

Gordon is absolute trash. Nic Johnson is better than this fool

 

the rockets played lazy, uninspired defense in the 1st quarter, but man utah was just hitting ridiculous shots. jae crowder barely looked like a replacement level player against okc and here he gives us a step back 3 with a hand in his face (pretty big step back), and then hits another 3 while being fouled. that's on top of 5-7 in the first game for 70% shooting. this is like rose going 7-9 on 3's to start our series. can't these guys just play like normal, or at least just something like 50%?

and then ingles even hit 2 of his 3 3's off the dribble. i mean that's crazy shooting.
