It is, but the same government that cut taxes increased spending.

The new tax rates are what they are. If people are not seeing the tax cut in their pay checks right now, they will get larger returns when they file their 2018 taxes in 2019. That is not rocket science, it is common sense.

Any bonus you may or may not have gotten would not effect your tax cut. You still keep more of the money you earn. Perhaps if you disn't spend all day on a forum posting propaganda, your performance might have improved at work so you can get a bonus?

Dude. The reason it was structured this way is because it couldn't pass the senate rule otherwise (over budget). They could have kept the cut for the little guys, but they chose to sacrifice tax cut for the little guys in order to make it permanent for the big guys.

In 10 years, perhaps they could reverse this and increases tax on the big guys to give cuts to the little guys. We know that if today republican is in power at that time, that wouldn’t happen.

Bonuses count towards total income. So yes, they do get taxed.

And the time I spend here doesn't impact my work The company I work for is in a flat if not declining market, and was further impacted by the threat of (and then implementation of) tariffs

And I suspect my post count is about in the middle of most people on Clutch Fans. Certain less than a good number of peoples. Perhaps you just don't like the content. If so you should put me on Ignore and then the amount and content I post won't bother you.

No **** Sherlock. I never claimed they didn't. You would still keep more of any bonus you may get with the new tax rates.

As far as the other comment, I was just messing with you. I have only put a few people ever on ignore and that was because they were trolls. You may post a lot of propaganda, but I do not consider you a troll. I hope your company does better so you do receive a bonus next year. The tariff talk seems to be working to help negotiate better trade deals and the tax cut will help your company. In the meantime, enjoy your own personal tax cut.

Actually the opposite because there are less deductions overall for the middle class. Most people will have to pay more taxes when they file because they took too many deductions on their W4. The pain is coming next year sadly. Unless you're rich!

Posters (mainly Trump and republicans) bring up the personal tax cuts(the crumps) that's not the problem with the bill and you guys know that. It is the tax cuts to the rich(aka corporate tax cuts). You say "hey look you are paying less you should be happy. Well that's crap compared to what the rich get.
