    what an idiotic article... lol
    #1 - dont let them shoot 3s
#2 - shut down the other 6-7 guys besides Harden and CP3
    #3 - defense
#4 - have their bench guys score... i guess cause their starting lineup has no chance of outscoring us - lol
#5 - law of averages - lmao! when you have to resort to 'law of averages' as one of your top 5 strategies - you're in trouble - lol

I was pretty confident about our chances this series (I predicted a 4-0 sweep)... now I feel even more confident!

I kinda disagree with it too. On #1, he quotes some random stat on games where Rockets shot a low 3P%, but then says they need to force Rockets to shoot 2-pointers. The stat is irrelevant to the advice. In those games, the Rockets didn't lose by shooting twos, they lost by shooting threes badly.

As for guarding role players, I think that's bad advice. Paul and James will roll up 80, Capela another 20 (since you really can't stop the oops once the playmaker sets it up), and you've lost anyway. I think Thib had a good strategy in doubling Harden late in the shot clock to make him give up the ball with little time left.

The best defensive strategy is to double Harden and have Gobert pack the paint with everyone else on the shooters similar to Spurs last year. The rotations have to be quick to the open man. Harden and Rockets have problems with this defense and I want the Jazz to use it so we are better prepared when facing the Warriors.

#4 is dumb. Their bench tripled the output of our bench in Game 1. What more can Utah fans expect?

He Said Crowder hasn’t been knocking down his shots? Didn’t he just hit 5 threes in game 1? Didn’t he hit like 7 threes in game 5 vs OKC?

the first 3 are correct. limit points from 3, fast break, and overplay the role-players.

of course that means letting harden and paul go one on one. you are taking a chance that harden by himself can't beat you with no help which is just not true. maybe you get lucky and he has an off night. maybe over the course of a series he tires out from carrying the load in this scenario, which would've worked in year's past, but now we have cp3 to pick up the slack.

so, yes, the first 3 are probably a good game plan. no, they won't win the series even if they do that. they will make the games closer and might win 1 or 2 games rather than get swept in 4 blowouts.

    1 & 2) Take away Rockets 3-pt shooting/stay with role players. Been done before....only problem is CP3
will go for 35 as article mentioned; but Harden will go off for 48+ pts. CP3 (35) + Harden (48)= 83 pts combined.
And that’s with the low sum of Harden going for 48. In essence the bench just needs to produce 10 to 17 pts
to beat Utah. 93 to 100 points per game should be enough to beat Utah.

    3) Back on defense. Part of key 1 & 2. Jazz averaged 104.1 pts in the regular season and 104.1 in the playoffs
to this point. Getting back to prevent transitions points also takes away from many 2nd chance pt opportunities.
Results in less point output for Jazz.

    4) Jazz Bench. Outside of Mitchell, Gobert/Favors are the strength of the Jazz (Defensive diamonds).
Vs Houston they are actually liabilities since Harden and CP3 don’t need to get all the way to the rim.
Instead both Gobert and Favors will be put on skates more readily as Harden and CP3 get more comfortable.
Jazz actually need to sit Gobert and Favors.....but too much money is invested in those 2. And who are you
going to replace them with. Jazz have no chance barring injuries.

    5) Law of Averages. Good luck with that. That’s like “Hope” being a strategy.

Conclusion) Ingles did get under the skin of Paul George. Rockets can run Crowder and Ingles off
on screens all night. Rockets are not as stupid as Thunder.

There’s no secret. For non-Warrior teams the way to beat the rockets is be in the arena on one of the nights where we snoot some stupid low percentage from 3. Hang with us and hope to pull it out late.

Thats pretty much it. Imagine if Tucker and Ariza would have just hit a couple of threes last game, Jazz would of lost.
