Kobe got that voice that makes you super sleepy -- monotone with the long lazy pauses.

Black Mamba gonna be my new white noise.

Jazz has a whole coaching staff and analytics team to watch these tapes 1000 times, if they can't come up with the conclusions Kobe casually comes up with, they are not doing their job

they why did mitchell say he already watched it twice?! i'm hoping it backfires and mitchell starts thinking too much which actually slows his game down.

LOL, right? We could have Doris Burke talking about Harden pushoffs the whole time or Reggie Miller making up his own rule interpretations and calling Ricky Rubio Marco Rubio. I'd rather have Kobe, and I think the dude is a super arrogant ***** and a super chucker. Doesn't mean he isn't a good analyst. Kobe did more analysis in this video than ESPN has collectively done in the past 5 years.

Kobe should do halftime play analysis instead of Kenny Smith.

Kenny Smith is an idiot, tries too hard, and states the obvious.

Kobe wasn't very good when he was on that show IMO. This is an edited compilation of his analysis.

    Two things i disagree with

Giving up on taking corner 3's, i mean sure if Utah want to do that, I'm all for it. But in reality the corner 3 shooter needs to run back on defense and abandon any chance at a rebound (which is what they all do)

Just crashing into Capela is likely to get a whole lot of no calls, it'd make sense if Capela was on the edge foul wise then sure, try and bait one, but he's basically giving up on the points to try and draw a foul in a way that's unlikely to even get called, and this kid is too good at finishing those drives to go the fishing route.

I forgot to add that apparently this show was designed for players or students of the game to watch, it's not meant as entertainment.

Also, I should've skipped the intro on the link but I kept it in because it reminded me of Westworld.

Kobe knows what he’s doing with this. It’s like an inner monologue — hence the title “from the mind of Kobe Bryant.”

    I like the concept.

Something I saw on a gsw pnr tonight in the 4th. The player (Durant I believe) came around the screen and attacked towards the rim beating his man.

    Nothing abnormal right?

Well it was Davis obligation to rotate, and he was attempting to as the player pulled up from floater range.

Now typically this is something Davis could and would easily contest and possibly block. But what I noticed was what draymond did.

Just before Durant went up for his shot, again before the player (I can’t perfectly recall but I believe Durant still) ever went up to attempt a shot, draymond hooked (grabbed) Davis back side arm while starting to ”sprint back” and it completely was like an arm bar holding him in place.

What it did was completely stop Davis from being able to step over and rotate and actually made him lose balance. Wide open shot for gsw at the rim.

Meanwhile, to the layman’s eye and obvious The refs as well, it seemed like inadvertent nothingness , except I was purposely watching how draymond defended Davis.

So after watching this I kind of started looking for little nugget like details he spoke of and low and behold his seems to be one.

    Move over illegal screens lol

You don't happen to know the timestamp so we can look at the video?

Some point in the 4th I cannot recall. I’ll try and rewatch and find it.

This is why Kobe can't star in Space Jam 2. The actual content of the video was really interesting but dude's just boring as hell. It was probably his choice to not do transition music and just have clumps of dead air while he adjusts the video.

Is it just me? I didn’t find it boring. Watched it the whole 24 minutes without even realizing it was that long. Kobe speaking his mind and reading it from him was great to him. Didn’t agree with everything he said but I thought that was an awesome analysis.

Like he said If Gobert can seal off His man in the middle, we are in a world of trouble because that is the biggest disadvantage we have against them. But, Gobert never played it that way consistently. He doesn’t play physical and big, not consistently. He just never did. Maybe that’s how big man plays over in France. :D

I'll be pissed if Kobe exposed the Rockets and MDA's defense.

If you were bored with the video, you either already knew everything that Kobe said (highly doubtful) or you are a casual NBA fan that just wants to remain a casual NBA fan.
