I think Giles can be a useful part of this team, but he's NOT a closer. Dude is unstable. Maybe Luhnow can fleece the Pirates again for Felipe Vasquez.

He didn't even knock himself out. He's a Punch and Judy hitter.

Well, Gattis and McCann are likely gone next year, so they had to get Stassi up for some experience.

What really pisses me off is that LF/DH/LHRP is the same exact stuff he Stros needed a year ago.

Giles may need a shrink. He's been up and down too many times.

I blame this on Hinch. GIles emptied the gas tank last night and got that save which obviously was a big moment in his head. Then you bring him in with a non save opportunity against the heart of the Yankees lineup the next night? As soon as he threw his first fastball and it was 97 instead of 99 I thought... uh oh here we go again. Not to mention, this is a 4 game set so he isn't going to be available tomorrow.

Like I said earlier in the season... Verlander should be waiting in Hinch's office for his free face punch for putting GIles in the game.

Lmao looks like he was turning his head away as he punched himself like a WWE star. Wants to be a tough guy so bad. Most closers have nasty stuff, the good ones can do it back to back nights. Giles can’t

I do believe Jake is out of options. Fisher is not.

The problem with the "let's just put Stassi..." is that he is a backup catcher, and the more you expose him the worse he looks. Just like Marisnick et al.

Gotta be White, Kemp, or Davis for DH until you trade for someone better. And not sure Tucker is going to gain much more in AAA.

There is nothing wrong with Stassi as a backup catcher. But that's all he is, he's really good behind the plate though.
