Giles can't be trusted two nights in a row. Pretty sad.

Between DH and LF, I think they have lots of flexibility. Fisher can be sent down and I assume Marisnick can as well. So they can bring up a LF and new experimental DH if they want.

If they don't want to go that route, they can try Stassi at DH and give Gattis the emergency-catcher role for a bit.

Giles sucked....whatever thats nothing new. Whats disappointing is this offense not being able to get a run for JV after the Yankees SP leaves after the 1st inning

The season is 20% over and our DH is hitting 190 and our LF duo is at .220.
They need to let Gattis catch some and send Stassi down. There is no reason for Sipp to be on the Astros. They should release him and add a bat.

As far as how to fix it, make a trade for a DH or LF.

Guess that answers the question of "if Giles aint closing games, could he be a solid set up man?" Lmao

Giles' frustration as he entered the dugout looked pansy.

One guy inside was trying not to bust out laughing.

Seeing Giles strut around yesterday made me wonder about his state of mind. It's a game in April and he looked like he was trying to convince himself that he still has what it takes to be a dominant reliever. Sigh.

Poor Giles. Glad I didn't watch. I had a feeling he would not hold up.

Hope this game is the wake up call where changes are made soon in the lineup.

F Giles and F the offense. Verlander deserves better.

This is what I was thinking. Gattis needs to get his bat and mind right and catching would/has done wonders for him. Its crazy to think of giving Stassi DH abs but his hitting has done well enough this year to experiment a swap.

Hinch has to play the guys he's got. He has no other choice.

I'm pretty much furious about a couple of things, LHP, LHDH, Luhnow related.

Giles just punched himself in the face after getting pulled. Dudes is a mental case

    The season isn’t that new.

We are 30 games in and we are losing games we have no business losing because we have a DH hitting sub Mendoza line and a LF duo hitting like 220.

We have wasted roster spaces with Stassi and Sipp. If Gattis is going to be on the team he can back up catch.

Can we make Giles a middle reliever. The evidence is ample that closing isn't the best move for him.

Yup and they are fairly easy to fix.... corner outfielder and DH are some of the easiest. We are 20-11 so everything is “ok” but the reality is we should have 22/23 wins easily.

    JV -- 8 IP / 0 R
    Giles -- 0.1 IP / 4 R, all earned

    Offense completely sucked

No, ultimately this ends with him released or a throw in for a bigger trade. No one has confidence he will work out for the Astros.
